replying to my own post cause i'm always trying to cut down on op comments but like, i am here for anyone dissing this programme but the bit that got me was
zico i can respect [even though i hate idol rappers] // yeah i'm feminist
So uhm, she went from calling women talentless bitches who are just there for decoration ----> to giving props to ZicEwwww ----> to talking about how women should come together and "do better" and only then care about their looks.....
LMFAO but like... i get why people would find this annoying but also like...... i can see why it would be a frustrating position for her to be in too lmfao and like... whatever if it was someone i didnt like who released this i would call them childish but i know myself enough to admit that im a stan so im unbothered lol
i mean i don't agree with her about idol rappers especially when she's talking about female empowerment. ummm idol rappers are female too soo....but i can understand where she's coming from.
I actually really like the contradictory thing she has going on here, of course it's my own interpretation but it's like she's making fun of the girls that couldn't keep their stories straight. I can agree with Tymee about how she respects Zico though. Yeah he's complete garbo but as a rapper and producer he clearly knows what he's doing, even if some of his raps are controversial he's still good at it and I think that's mostly what she was going for especially since she pointed out she didn't like idol rappers, so it's more of I respect your music and talent.
idk if I'm being way too "silver lining" with this bc it needs a LOT of work but seeing feminist ideas (albeit misguided ones) coming out in a heavily misogynist country gives me slight hope that things are starting to change...? idk
it was well rapped. so there's that. the translation seems good as well but i'm never 100% confident in these things so i'm not sure about the content. i understand her apparent frustration that women are being considered for their looks over their skills, but if she's never been a part of the idol life then she shouldn't target those women. being a female idol who genuinely wants to rap but won't be taken seriously bc of her looks or her idol career is another effect of misogyny.
