PD Hong to drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ reveals reason for casting UEE

PD Hong SeongChan of SBS ongoing hit drama ‘You’re Beautiful’ reveals the reason why After School member UEE was casted as character Yoo HeYi on the show.

PD Hong said in a recent interview, “We did many auditions for the casting of character Yoo HeYi in the show, and UEE was one of the auditionees. We decided to test the auditionees for crying scenes without giving them any hints before that. UEE did a good crying scene almost instantly and we casted her immediately.”

PD Hong also said, “Now looking at UEE’s acting, we think we’ve made a good choice.”


The PD also talked about cast Jang GeunSeok, Park ShinHye and Jung YoungHwa, “GeunSeok plays the team leader who is the core of the team, ShinHye is one who acts well with stamina even when she is tired. And YoungHwa’s acting is not that of a newcomer at all.”

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has started liking Uee because of Yoo Heyi. She played the role so well that I LOVE YOO HEYI XD She's getting even more of a bitch now though :/ AND WHY DID THE PD NOT MENTION HONGKI?!

I like UEE's acting a lot. OK, I didn't dislike her to begin with XD;; tbh I didn't really know her. I just knew her from pictures and that she's in After School.

i didn't really know anything about UEE before this drama, but i must agree that she's good at being a villain. (: her eyes/face scare me a lot and sometimes i think she is just plain ugly (especially if she didn't have those circle lens that i'm sure she wears) but i also find her attractive a lot of times too. idk she's weird. LOL

While I like her as a singer, I really don't like her as an actress for some reason. She just really annoys me idek. Crying is a poor way to evaluate someone's acting. I could put up fake tears in seconds, but I can't act for shit :V.

All the main actors in this drama are doing fairly good job, especially considering they are so young. Jang GeunSeok is only 22 i believe and he is still the one with most experience.

However, I'm getting tired of having UEE's character as the only villain, it's getting boring. Hopefully they will come up with something new the remaining episodes.
