i despise asmr, it wigs me out, i get the tense shoulders and the major cringe. this...doesn't...have the same effect, but im not feeling the waves of pleasure or tingling or w/e

i think it has everything to do with i have zero idea what she's saying LOL so im focusing on her voice. plus she doesn't really have 'vocal fry' it sounds smooth (least to me) (im trying to eliminate vocal fry in my own voice) XD think the only thing that squicks me is the noise of the wet...smack crackle pop mouth thing of saliva. idk what its called. w/e lol it aint for me

she's still pretty tho, id rather just look at her <3

I really dislike saliva noises (plus sharing food/drinks with other people etc bc of saliva) so this isn't my thing at all, but it was interesting to see an idol doing that.

i've just gone on a wild hunt trying to find out what this is and i've discovered that it triggers me in a really, really negatively violent way. this video itself made me super uncomfortable and i only watched a few seconds of it, but a couple of other videos caused much worse reactions in me that i couldn't control and it's a super unpleasant feeling. i'm not terribly grateful for this new knowledge. however, i kind of am grateful for the fact i now understand why i have such a viscerally unpleasant and powerful reaction to the sound of knives scraping on plates (and nails on a chalkboard) when nobody else in my family reacts like i do. so i guess it was good for something?

thinking more deeply, i have always disliked somewhat rather intensely when other people whisper (also when people talking have audible lumps/frogs in their throat and don't drink something/cough it out; it gives me a sympathy lump and makes my ears and throat/neck crawl until they get rid of it) so i probably shouldn't have been surprised that this gives me such a strong negative reaction.

i still have shivers crawling down my spine :(
