Is it profitable to keep debuting new idol groups? I understand why there was a boom of new groups the last couple of years with the growth on profits in the kpop world, but with that there were so many that didn't accomplish anything after that, that I thought maybe it would stop the boom of debuts

I wish there were less debuts in general, a lot of kids get lost in this saturated market

lols this group. i watched dob and lmao only a few are talented. the rest still should practice and get better. w groups like bts and nct out here rn they are lacking in appeal, looks, dance wise and no one has an extra special voice or outstanding talent whatsoever.

i feel for them bc this company totally should hire a better teacher bc they are such shit dancers. their choreos were all over the place on the show. sigh

Justice for N.Flying.

But I'm still excited to hear their debut song.

That feel when two boy groups make their debut before Youkyung even makes her AOA comeback... #fnclogic

Speaking of that other one, justice for n.flying [2], are they yet another group fated to chill in Japan 90% of their time now?

lol, it's amazing that japan's music market is so huge that it can even absorb all sorts of kpop rejects as a small part of it, and still totally support all sorts of their own artists and some other foreign ones, while Korea can't even support their own...

Japan's population is around 130 million, while S. Korea's is around 50 million. Not to mention that CDs in Japan are like three/four times the price of Korean CDs... It honestly makes sense for flop groups to focus on Japan or other Asian countries, especially considering how oversaturated the idol market is in Korea. Top groups should probably focus on S. Korea, because focusing too much on the international market can negatively affect how they're doing in Korea (like KARA or Wonder Girls). But if you're already unlikely to be a top group in Korea, it's worth it, imo.

Not that FT Island or CNBlue is going anywhere but they will need to go in the military in a few years. I would imagine they have to start getting more groups setup.

AOA will still be here, and I have no clue what they are doing with N. Flying so I guess they are trying to get the Dance team started then they will have to get the other new band started and get them all established before FT Island and CNBlue are serving. But that is just my thoughts, since it seems to take at least a year to two years before new groups start getting recognized and even then some groups don't get recognized.
