heeeeeee~ I'll admit it's not my fav (I love Western Sky too much I guess) but what I really like about this perf over other collabs is that they're not belting and adlibbing all over the place. Not everyone's doing a requisite high note.

Not quite. According to this (https://kpopvocalanalysis.net/categoryvocal-analyses/list-of-analyses/) site, apparently ken's just 'average vocalist', probably on par with baek or soo if i'm not mistaken my bad i was sorely mistaken. But you can just check it out for more, they've already covered bunch of kpop singers if you're interested.

As a VIXX fan I will admit probably not but I really enjoy his unique vocal colour and musicianship. Keep in mind I'm biased as fcuk but I gravitate towards Duet Festival clips with Ken rather than Sandeul because I just like the way Ken sounds*gets bricked*.

I'd also rather listen to an IU/Soyou/Song Ji Eun song over a Jessica song, even though they're also average ranked singers and jessica's 1 level higher on the kpopvocalanalyst site.

this song was drier than toast but they did a decent job.

i'll forgive jinki for being off this time cause i know he can sang and he recovered okay, sandeul came through midway with nice vocals, taeil's tone is gorgeous, and ken was the most solid out of the group.

they don't need to be in a group again though :)

This wasn't what I wanted it to be. Ken was the most solid in the performance. The song choice was terrible, but there were parts each of them did that I enjoyed. I know they can all sing well, but this song didn't fit everyone's voice. The harmony at the end was a tad off to me, but it looks like none of the idols for these stages were given enough time.

I dislike how they sang individually together instead of singing together. There's no way to know if their voices could have blended well or not.

I'm here for Onew's 80's Miami Vice look. SHINee needs to go ahead and use this look for the next comeback. I can donate some gold chains and bracelets, lol.

as sad about the relative lack of....actually singing together, but then, that happens in actual bands too, rarely any harmonizing, so i wasn't really expecting it here either. I was very impressed by sandeul and onew, strong, clear voices (except for the ending harmonies, they were pushing too hard and it sounded very strained) while ken and taeil weren't pushing at all in the beginning parts, just using the breathless airy voices i'm growing to hate, and then came into their own at the ending harmonies. though in general, was unimpressed by taeil, i know he can sing better.

basically not the song choice i would have given them?
