lol people were so ott on youtube about getting the fine bros react to monster, i didn't think they would give in to the pressure. that bick change campaign was hilarious.
i remember scrolling down to the top comments on the ioi video and so many people were asking people to comment on fine bros videos? guess they're bigger than i thought they were
they might be bigger, but also it's just a way to get non-kpoppers to drive the views... so yeah, ioi might get some non-kpop views from this, anything for the views lol
(i only realize now that i made (at least one) typo.
that nick change thing.
i did see it before monster, too, but it got to a sizable campaign with exo. and it really drove the views up! just by a small percentage, but it was clearly visible how the view drop stopped when people started to change their names to exo - monster.)
Youtube seems to be full of people doing countless react videos when it's clear they aren't really interested in KPOP but know if they stick BTS in the thumbnail people will immediately click. I'm the opposite- I don't care to watch people react to my faves. I would rather just enjoy them myself.
I know Fine Bros have always been known for react videos so they aren't an example of this but it's kind of killed any enjoyment i ever had for react videos in general
i used to like reaction videos but at some point they all start sounding exactly the same and like you said it's full of opportunists, like this guy who started doing kpop news videos that he reads off of allkpop a month after his first kpop reaction and i'm just like lol
Yeah I agree. I used to watch some reaction videos because I liked seeing people fangirl from the same fandom as me, but tbh lately it has just been so many videos of people who obviously aren't into kpop cringing through reactions... and they always only give positive comments because they know they'll be murdered by fans otherwise lol. It just doesn't make sense to me that people want everyone to like their faves so much. Some people don't like kpop, deal with it.
I actually liked this cause there weren't any flop jokes like the usual "they all look the same!!!" "I'm guessing this is South Korea, and not north right?" And they finally quit it with the whole ~omg I can't believe they're singing in a different language~ schtick It was pleasant
Never been a fan of hip hop to begin with but damn, what is that song? I can honestly say that talent is apparently not what they were going for but each there own I guess.
More or less it has blown over, they still don't have the stats they had in previous years, but they have such an abundant number of kids/teens watching their show it's hard to really see a huge difference anymore. Kids love seeing their faves react to everything apparently
I don't go out of my way to play the song but whenever it comes up in my playlist I can't help but get going haha I'm with you there the beat is too addictive
This was boring, and I didn't care for the songs/videos (It G Ma is fun but boring to react to) they reacted to. Guess Fine Bros aren't into kpop and just try to choose what's popular in the comments? WOuld be more fun if people actually into kpop reacted to these things. It's why I check Omona comments.
