they've managed to work in so much of the imagery (n in the rain, the potions, the abduction stuff) from the ~art teaser~ and the trailer for conception, the big thing that's left now is ken on a throne
The aesthetics are nice but if there was a storyline it went over my head. I'm still bummed out the song is such hot garbage I'm used to Vixx always nailing it with the title tracks.
I didn't understand what was happening but the video is gorgeous, they look amazing. I like the verses but the chorus kind of falls flat imo, I was waiting for a much more intense breakdown and it left me underwhelmed. I like Love Me Do more :/
I personally love the song and don't like the video as much as it. I've had the song running through my mind all weekend. The choreography is different than their usual stuff imo it looks more like your average boygroup dance than the more theatrical choreography they have had in the past.
Ok, you vocalized what my thoughts are on this. I agree with it seeming off beat, I couldn't wrap my head around the music and it was just off to me. I'll have to replay a few times and hope it clicks at some point.
this song really sounds so much better with the music video/dance incorporated. it was one of their flattest title songs to me when i first heard it, so it definitely didn't catch on as quickly as their other titles did in the past, but with a visual to match it to the song sounds so much better and i'm just glad dramavixx is back. now i'm intrigued by what they're going to reveal in the 3rd installment of conception, song but also story-wise.
and obviously this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but i really just love how much thought and planning their entire creative team put into the entire concept of, well, conception. after this, i don't think i'll ever be truly satisfied with a future comeback that doesn't have this much depth incorporated into their musical storytelling.

Musical storytelling is top-notch! We're spoiled lol! I definitely want to look further into how the releases are connected/what the overarching story is!
wow, loved the chorus. the lead up to it in the verses is a bit weird, but i'm happy that vixx is back. i think it'll be a look smoother in the live stages, so looking forward to those!

Aw. you did great posting all the teasers and even including post link in all of your posts. I was worried it wasn't going to get a post today so I said might as well do one. I tried to do it with the Naver link but I didn't know how to do the clickable picture thing so I just waited an hour for youtube.

I thought I'd like this. The visualization is great, and the song has such potential to be an epic, but it overshoots the mark by way too much. I love a song with layers, but it was like they added 3 layers too many. Their voices were drowned out by the music, and the music was also drowned out by the music. It's too bad. It could've been great.

Loved the aesthetic, loved the choreo, loved the concept... but for the love of god kpop WILL YOU STOP WITH THE DISJOINTED TWO SONGS-IN-ONE ALREADY. Never been a fan of them in other groups; didn't like it better here. The verses and chorus were alright separately, but together they just made for one hot mess. I actually preferred Dynamite to this.

Have you guys heard the instrumental version? I loved how the instrumental reflected the tragic, eerie storyline that's going on with the overall Hades concept. The small details like "help," a bone-chilling scream, a gulp of the potion, and other parts just really added to the tone. This is nowhere near a Voodoo bop level, but I appreciate the thought put behind the dramatic and unsettling composition of the music. Plus, I am a big fan of anime music, and this song reminded me of that type of sound xD
If I had one dislike, it is, like someone else pointed out, not hearing some of the voices clearly, mostly Ken, which is indeed a "tragedy." OTL. Maybe a better final mixdown job would make this song more legit? I can't tell you how many times I created a song and the song sounded awkward unmixed but sounded like heaven in the final mixdown lol!
Don't worry, I'm here loving it too!! This is my favorite VIXX title track lol. I don't know what to do with my excitement XD! I agree that, while I like the instrumentals, they're too loud at parts, and I can't hear the voices =(!!
I actually really like the video, and from what I can see the choreo seems pretty dramatic/unsettling? But the song itself is just okay to me. Some parts I like, some parts I don't. On the plus side, Ravi's rap here doesn't annoy me as much as it usually does.
