like he seduced the boat keeper to take them across the river
Lmao, this is something i have come to expect from Jackson, not surprised at all!
OP question time, i want to watch all the episodes eventually, but because they're a bit lengthy i'm taking my time! Could you maybe rank the 5 episodes so far, from like more enjoyable (or more funny/interesting whatever) to least, i don't mind watching them out of order!
Not OP, but do watch Ep 3 for the Jackson x Boran intelligent test. Boran didn't show up until later in Ep 1, and he didn't show up much so you wouldn't see their chemistry, but starting from Ep 2, it's great to see Jackson pairing up with Boran. Fighting Man is getting better by each ep because the cast got more comfortable with each other, Boran freaking butcher korean with full of confidences and smiles for the sake of saving Jackson in Ep 5, and Xiao Bai dabbing when he got a shot in. It's only 5 episode so far and I'm already hoping for a Season 2 with the whole cast again.
So maybe you can try watching it backward, or go watch Ep 3 first after Ep 5. Then Ep 2, Ep 4.
Thanks for all the info! I followed your advice, i watched ep5, then ep3, and i just finished ep2! i couldn't stop watching dammit! I can clearly see why you picked episodes 5 and 3, i loved them! I enjoyed ep3 but i was just laughing throughout ep5!
Boran's interactions with both sea urchin market people were hilarious! The way he was holding on to the first one, and his "not ahjussi, hyung" trying to sweet talk the second one with his broken Korean, LMAO! Plus his whole explanation to Jackson about Beluga whales!
I think he's my favourite (obvs not including Jackson!), but everyone's very likeable! I mean i'm 3 episodes in, and i'm also hoping for season 2 with the same cast!
Lol they were told to act cute/manly but the boat keeper definitely fell for his charms and who can blame him tbh.
You're right the episodes are quote long, sometimes a bit too long for my liking even tho they have some great moments (the missions are craaazyyy coupled with OTT editing of the show) but there's just soooo much stuff to take in one go sometimes. And I don't really know the cast that well since I'm not familiar with Chinese entertainment, I picked up the show mainly for Jackson tbh (tho the others have proven to be pretty funny as well and they're just a really funny group all together).
Uh oh, not sure if I can rank them properly but here's some kind of list from what I remember:
Episode 3 - I think this one as a whole was the most enjoyable episode for me so far, it had both an exciting car trick mission/weird chase mission?? + interesting/funny chinese history quizzes (I'm a sucker for culture/history quizzes)
Episode 4 - a Jackson cut (it's just 1h) and it had funny quizzes, and another weird chase mission and some language mission
Episode 5 - Hilarious Korean food market mission + gun range mission
Episode 2 - Cute/funny/scary(?) scenes at the aquarium + exciting/funny paintball mission
Episode 1 - had some good moments but imo the other episodes were just better (then again, ep1 introduces all the people and the idea of the show)
There were other stuff happening as well but those were my faves I think. And like aurellee said, it gets better by every episode, with the cast getting to know each other better and their teamwork improving.
LMAO that part was everything, i was like Boran, losing it throughout the whole exchange!
You weren't kidding, some missions are crazy, plus the OTT editing makes it even more intense, i love it tbh! It's so eventful! Yeah, i'm not thaat familiar with C-Entertainment myself, but so far i like everyone from the cast, they come across very friendly and funny!
I watched ep5, ep3, and just finished ep2. I loved it, esp 5+3, they were sooo much fun!
I haven't seen his new hair, just read about it, but he's been looking reaaal fine with the black hair lately, I'm sad to let it go :( and yeah like you said, let his poor scalp have a break
