According to reports by Segye Ilbo and Sports Seoul on August 14, SHINee is preparing for a comeback.

This news of a comeback for SHINee comes about a year after the group’s release of “Married to the Music” in August of last year. The members have since been focused on individual activities, with Minho filming for the upcoming drama “Hwarang,” Taemin making solo music releases, etc.

finally more articles about it, lol. if things go according to what shawols have been speculating for awhile we should start to get teasers in about two weeks from now with a first week of september release. they're already scheduled for a concert festival type thing on september 8th and shinee rarely does those outside of promos anymore, sOOO. that + they were rumored to have filmed their mv last weekend (there was one blurry picture leak; blurry to the point where it isn't even worth sharing), and key has been working hard with shim jae won on the visual directing for the concerts / comeback!!

I saw pics of them at SMTOWN Tokyo Dome this weekend and squeed when I saw all dark haired SHINee, but one or two of them would probably get their hair dyed a weird color by the time of the comeback, lol.
