Time for another Flashback Friday. I check out the different charts on this day in a past year and post the top three songs. Then, I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. Let’s see what we were listening to 5 years ago, in the 2nd week of August 2011.


#3 2NE1 "Ugly"
I have never seen this MV before. It does look familiar to me though, because I’m pretty sure they were filming 2NE1TV there too. I remember Bom being in that outfit talking about being electrocuted. I miss her.

#2 Infinte “Be Mine”
I’m not a fan at all, and this is the song that I identify most with Infinite. I say that now, until the next time they pop up and I’ll probably say the same thing with another song. Getting old and forgetful sucks.

#1 Miss A “Goodbye Baby”
I remember really liking this song a lot. The MV brings back memories because of the actor. One of the first Kdrama dvd box sets I ever bought was a series with him. Remember when Borders sold KDrama box sets? Shit, remember Borders?!?

#7 Teen Top “Don’t Spray Perfume”
Okay. What the fuck? And then I looked up the lyrics and was like “What the fuck?!?!?” Yes, I know I’m five years late, but I’ve never seen the MV before! And why was he smiling at the end? What a creep.

#8 Hyuna “Bubble Pop”
Iconic Hyuna. Cute and sexy and very fun and everything about this song/MV still makes me happy whenever it comes on.

i don't remember the teen top lyrics but i remember reading them when the vid came out and thinking they were messed up.
bubble pop was one of my first summer kpop jams. so good.

Yeah, my local Borders had a really good selection of KDramas, almost a whole bookcase full! And it was reasonably priced, because every couple of weeks they had 40% off coupons.

Teen top..classic do not learn words just luv the dancing and your baby babies are growing up.

I love your flashback Fridays especially since I didn't get into kpop until 2013/2014.

Infinite song was so good.
Hyuna bubble Pop I had heard before and mainly watched it the first time because of Lee Joon, now I watch it just because I like the song.
Miss A wishing I would of heard about them sooner then their last song. That was when I had first heard about them and I am enjoying all of their songs I have heard so far.
Teen Top Like the song and the dancing, didn't see the lyrics and by the comments why do I think that is a good thing :)
