I'm so scared everytime my dog runs out of my house, he could be hit by a car or be stolen :( he such a stupid dog and is never careful while crossing the street.

My dog's stupid too... I call her Dumb Fcuk (and I mean it in the most endearing way). She's also really careless and when she runs out she gets more excited when you chase her and runs out further. We live 1 minute from a large busy street - I always get nervous when she starts running for the road.

my dog is exactly the same... he sees me and runs faster ¬¬ lately I have the technique going on the opposite sidewalk hiding behind trees until I'm at a range to catch him. He was an escape artist and no matter ehat we did to fix fences, make them higher and add concrete to the floor, lock him at night inside the dog kennel...he always found a way to get out. It was not unusual to leave for work in the morning and find him snoring just outside the door.

People knew he was ours and called when they found him on the streets; he always had his collar on him because of his houdini ways, but the last time he escaped, neighbors told us they say some people bringing him inside a truck and took off despite what they said to them.

We posted fliers with rewards, but nothing came out of it. We thought we heard him sometimes so my cousin and I went biking around calling for him, but nothing

He was a big and imposing german shepherd so his looks alone were usually enough to keep strangers away, but he was a complete goofball and a bit of a coward so he probably happily went along with those guys. I just hope he is alive and well...I don't wanna have any negative thoughts.

My childhood dog was a german shepherd too but he was wary of people because of what his first owner did to him. He was almost dead when my father rescued him so he only loved us and always tried to protect his little family

I don't know about SK but here pets are chipped (is that the accurate word?) so selling stolen pets is harder (shitty people still do it though) so I don't think someone would steal him for that purpose

yeah :/ and from what I know people usually steal young and "cuter" breeds because those are easier to sell and this dog seems to be on the older side, I don't see why someone would steal for the purpose of selling him

Here that breed price is between 1000 to 2000 euros depending on the lineage

D: that's really tough. Dogs aren't like wallets or even expensive cars - they can't be replaced by an identical. There's an emotional attachment to that specific dog and they really do feel like family. Hopefully they'll find Homie quickly - I don't think english bulldogs are that common in SK? When my dog saw an open gate and made a run for it, I went to the animal shelter to look for him and post flyers. After, I stood there in the lobby and straight up SOBBED. Full on ugly cry, wailing and everything. When animal control found him and dropped him off at the house, the lady was all "I remember you, you were the one crying at the shelter" lol
