The girls blew the boys out of the water, and I'm not familiar with the BTOB song but the choreo seems to difficult to speed up (or they're just bad at it)
p.s. It took me a minute to realize someone was missing from GOT7 oop
Haha good cuz I honestly need igot7's to chill thinking bambam is really in that much trouble. Sick of seeing post about how worried they are like...? He's okay.
I'm an igot7 and I'm tired of them lol When an idol's career has been destroyed for saying the n word or drinking underage? I'm side eyeing all the fans that were more worried about how is going to affect them than what he did wrong.
Preach! Also side-eying igot7's who say fans who called him out ruined their trip in the US. Like obviously it's not okay to send death threats but I doubt that was the majority of the fans but what do I know I'm not on Twitter like that.
Really? I hate kpop fans. I did see a few tweets that where screened shot that said some nasty things but I suspect that wasn't the majority of the comments, but hey I guess kpop fans will jump on the bandwagon, anything to distract from the actual issue. I try to take the accusations seriously after what happen to rap monster but I don't think that's something that happens often. I dunno I'm done arguing with kpop fans about certain issues. A few weeks ago I was arguing with someone who said it's hypocritical of black fans too say things like "cancelled" "or in done with him" and then a few weeks later support him. I'm like maybe it's because a few weeks later things have cooled down and they have now decided rather they want to support him or not and they aren't saying things out of anger. I'm sorry but who doesn't say things they don't mean when they are upset and can you blame black fans for being upset about this? I'm done with fans.
I understand completely. I love the fans that uplift and make thier idols feel better about themselves and thier music, but I can't stand oppaologists who refuse to call them out on thier shit and make excuses (especially the 'x didn't know English is not thier first language' excuse, really? Really?)
Personally I'm disappointed and it will take a while for me to feel that they give black culture the respect it deserves (considering they're 'rappers'). But it's hard when you realize the kpop industry as a whole doesn't really care - else they would be teaching thier idols do' s and don'ts.
All we can do is hope this doesn't happen again and that they learn from this. I know Namjoon has (article where he stated he regrets alot of things he said in the past that disrespected hip hop culture.)
I get that some idols may not know but there's no way of us knowing if he knew or not. Everyone is quick to blame marks friends but no one has a video of his friends actually telling him that the word meant bro its just a rumor that spreaded. Marks friends may not be the greatest but still blaming them is again taking the blame away from bambam.
I know right, I want to believe the best in everyone but it bothers me that people are like "so and so idol is a very kinda baby he'd never hurt someone on purpose". Like just stop. If I have to hear one more igot7 call bambam "their son" I dunno what I'm gonna do! Or trending thankyoubambam on twitter like, I bet the people who trended that where not even black. I'm glad he apologize but no I'm not thanking him for doing what he should be doing. Its more than I can say for most idols who never apologize for their anti-blackness but it doesn't mean I should thank him either.
Was this article after the colorist statement or before. Cuz I remember reading something about it but I think that was before that colorist stuff happened. I honestly don't really remember him addressing that though people said he did kinda of address it just not directly....So I dunno what they are talking about cuz I'll be honest I don't follow BTS like that.
I do follow BTS like that. ^^ it was after the n-word shinwa song cover incident but before the colorism incident.
I've come to realize I have to overlook alot if I want to enjoy kpop, like rap battles that have the contestants braiding and teasing thier hair to look like an afro, or hosts telling Rapmonster to 'speak his own race' when he talks English with a slang.
Frown, roll my eyes and move on.
It'll be a long time before kpop becomes racially sensitive.
As for them knowing or not knowing, I have a very hard time believing they don't know they're not allowed to use that word, even if they don't understand the deeper societal implications. I'll never believe otherwise.

i love (the idea of) 2x speed dance, but i don't like how it's now a thing and everyone practices it. i'd rather see groups attempt it with no practice.
also, i only watch weekly idol and asc, so i might be missing something major, but was asc the show that started this whole trend??? lmao.
I remember Gfriend doing "Rough" 2x it became a bit of a hot topic because they were so good at it, then they made RV do it on WI too. Later I saw it on acs (but I skip around asc episode, so I may have happened early)
because "Rough" wasn't out until January. I still say WI started the trend of having people do it on shows (because asc is for a global audience so idk how many scriptwriters/producers in Korea actually watch to take the concept). They may have done in first, but Gfriend made it popular enough for people to do it on other shows (and for idols to practice a 2x version)
a fan called weekly idol (160203 Ep 235) and asked gfriend to dance to rough 2x faster, they did and the video blew up and wi started asking other groups to do the same and now it's a trend lmao
Oops I was replying when they already did it, but yeah it was Weekly Idol the one that started the trend with this
In fact in this special episode the four groups had to do something characteristic they did before in previous episodes of Weekly Idol so that's why all of them are doing the 2x faster dance like GFreind already did before.
A fan on twitter suggested last October on ASC and Got7 did it for Just Right. According to the poster above, Bangtan also did it on ASC for Christmas. Weekly Idol made it really known but it seem to be a popular segment on ASC even before Weekly Idol.
Yep. It was already done before but the trend of doing 2x dances started after GFriend did Rough on Weekly Idol and went "viral" (not sure how to call it but at least got a lot of attention).
They probably wanted a relatively challenging song that people knew. All of their more recent songs have been slower. Is beep beep their most recent upbeat song?
I swear BTOB is forever my boy groups crush. They are so good on variety shows. Minhyuk slaying everything again and Ilhoon looks so done with it. Hani and Heechul look so excited. Would this 2x thing be a good workout though? :))
Also, I'm really curious how an EXO 2x version would be like (mess or no mess?). XD
Aww poor BtoB stuck with such an old song, lol. No matter it was so hard for them, and they handled it hilariously as always GFriend has obviously trained for the 2x version but it's still so impressive to look at! The JYP groups did well!
Got7's was hilarious, I didn't notice anyone missing until it was pointed out.
BTOB doing Wow was pretty damn difficult, because the song is already super upbeat. When Ilhoon fell, though, priceless, lol. Hopefully they get to do some more upbeat songs ( GOOD UPBEAT SONGS ) and choreo. They have really great dancers in the group, but you'd never know.
I knew Gfriend would be good at it since they are used to doing the 2x and they are promoting the song now. Twice did good and it hasn't been to long since they promoted.
Got7 did pretty good but I was laughing at them trying and getting tired and cracked up even more when Junior kicked his shoes off.
To me BTOB wins for being the funnest when IIhoon fell, and the rest of them were trying to give up. The song is from 4 years ago and they may still do it at concerts but I am sure they aren't doing it everyday. So to me they may not of had it right and smooth but they were the funnest to watch :)
I am wondering in 4 years if the other groups will be able to do as good as BTOB did with a song from 4 years ago, or will they end up making me laugh because they may of forgotten some of the choreography.
