This week definitely feels like “Oh I totally know these songs, but I haven’t thought about them in years” for me. Because, good grief, it’s been three years now! I check out the different charts for this Friday in a past year and post the top three songs. Then, I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’re going back to check out what topped the charts for the 4th Friday of July, 2013.


#3 Apink “NoNoNo”
I never really paid too much attention to them before, so this is the song that put Apink on my personal radar. Mainly because this song was EVERYWHERE.

#2 Beast “Shadow”
Okay, so I totally know this song, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the MV.

#1 Ailee “U&I”
So, um… I like her hair here? I feel like most of her songs kinda sound like this and I’m not a fan of her upbeat songs.

#8 Crayon Pop “Bar Bar Bar”
That quirky little MV that got them on that Gaga tour.

#10 Dynamic Duo feat Muzie “Baaam”
Nice bop, and when that guy starts up at 2:54, I’m kinda reminded of Zapp and that makes me happy.

god i forgot crayon pop ended up on that gaga tour, still don't care for them in the least

U&I was prob my favourite iteration of the song that ailee did like 5 times over
oh I just noticed something weird in the MV: at 1:26 she's wearing lace sleeves, then in the closeup it's gloves, then back to sleeves in the wide shot

U&I, one of the few Ailee songs that I really like.
Bless Bomi and all but that fake crying face she makes at 1:02 is still so annoying every time I happen to watch NoNoNo lmao.
aww Shadow, I had one of my first kpop fan interactions in the comment section of that video, it's a fond memory haha :') I think the video looks really cool visually.

Enjoying these flashback Fridays. I was just getting into kpop in late 2012 and 2013 and really hadn't checked into a lot of groups. Beast I was just getting into I loved I'm Sorry from that album.

APink No No No I never saw the video before I mainly know the song from snippets and boys groups dancing to it :)

Ailee I just started listening to her on the last comeback. Even though I knew who she was and I love her voice. This was a good song!
