I love that they're theatrical tbh- it's lots of fun for us and for them too, I imagine. I doubt there'd be as much appeal if they lost the theatrical, fun element that makes them them!
super excited to see this dance since I love me some high energy dance numbers. But I'm still not a fan of the way the sound is produced. It feels like an overly manufactured brass-y type of sound. I'm having trouble explaining, but it makes the instrumentation sound thin. Def want to hear the full song tho
but being cheesy is kind of their thing? they've been like this since debut. i'll take a cheesy, fun group over one that takes itself too seriously any day
right? what would i do for a girl group to have a musical concept with ridiculous choreo for once. adult kpop fans who complain about kpop being too childish need to realize it's mostly aimed at kids and teens and they're not the target audience (tho i'm in my early twenties and i actually find groups like svt a lot less embarrassing than those fake deep ones but eh)
They were great during Adore U. Mansae wasn't as great but still pretty decent. With Pretty U they became much more theatrical.
I'm not saying they need to be super serious, just that they are verging on glee territories for me. If you're into that, then that's good for you lol.
