i'm not even sure if i'm watching same performance as others because to me this choreo seems quite relaxed and doesn't demand any sharpness so taeyeon did well and it was very fitting for such song. this doesn't sound completely live to me tho which is normal for first week of any sm idol but she is promoting for just one week.... hopefully on other music shows i will be able to hear more of her vocals.
I noticed that was more a norm for the idol groups! Taeyeon sang live too for I last year. (Although I'd be mad if she didn't--literally all she had to do then was stand and sing lol)
i had the same exact thoughts about the dancing. she's good?? that wasn't supposed to be sharp, sexy, strong. that was a pretty chill and cool dance etc. more than fine tbh
I guess you would never be able to notice that Taeyeon is an average dancer because it's usually Hyo/Yuri's great dancing skills or Jessica/Tiffany's lack thereof (or lazyness, for sica) always gets in the spotlight. But this was cute tho! Was wishing for a little bit more power considering it's a summer song, and I wish she did another track like Fashion or Good Thing.

Yeah!! I would've liked to see more color on the stage and with the dancers at least cuz everything was so.. desaturated. Maybe that's why I thought some bits of the choreo was also missing? Too much white honestly! I'd like to see her rock the crocheted top with the peach denim shirt she wore in the beach/smoke scenes!
I actually really liked this stage. I already know that taeyeon isn't a strong dancer, so i'm satisfied that she even opted for choreography! I thought it was really cute and more than half of western pop singers couldn't do what she just did lmao, so i'm definitely pleased. Plus it fits the song well
Kyle did great with the choreo imo, so exciting when the male and female dancers pair up and do their lifts, and one of the male dancers is killing it (or maybe he just has nice arms, Idk, haven't had coffee yet). I noticed there are some less intense moments when the other dancers take the lead so Taeyeon isn't moving as much when she has to sing the second verse and the bridge, which I hope means that they're going to mix in live vocals in some of next week's performances, that would be make me happy.
god I love this song so much. "I" was perfect for Taeng's debut, but this is a really addictive song. don't make me choose.
