I kinda regret not doing my research on this one, but I didn't wanna come out and show my ass while trying to slander yoochun with half remembered facts.

I have been trying very hard to stay away from this case because Yoochun was my DBSK bias and this whole thing happening has just been bad. Pretty much decided it was best to just drop him because I can't see myself being a fan of someone doing this. If he is proven innocent that is a whole different matter. But whether he did it or not, his career is done for. And even if its not, his repertation is completely shit now and this will hang over his head until he dies.

i think it sucks that Bom pretty much cannot return to the industry for her whole ~drug scandal~, while not hurting ANOTHER person, while Yoochun might be shamed from the industry because he participated in prostitution, not because he might have raped multiple women.

it is two very obviously different cases, and i would not be surprised if bom received the harsher judgement from netizens because she is female.

Oh, I don't question it for even a minute. Plenty of the harsh criticism and severe judgement aimed Bom's way has been a result of rigid gender dynamics and cultural misogyny; I would say "over there" but it's honestly a pretty global issue. It's a damn shame too, because she has real talent and does not deserve it.

No comment on Yoochun. (Fuck him.) I swear, the film Rough Play was more of a reenactment biopic about the Korean entertainment industry than anything else.

I want to point out the alibi or whereabouts of Yoochun that oppalogist talked about was debunked immediately by his other fans. I saw the posts about it on onehallyu a few days ago, but asianjunkie wrote an article about it today.
