160620 Revealed in contents of countersuit “Park Yuchun’s first accuser demanded 1 billion KRW in settlement money”

The fact that Park Yuchun’s first accuser’s side demanded 1 billion KRW in settlement money is being reported.

Amid group JYJ member and actor Park Yuchun being accused on the suspicions of sexual assaults in a total of 4 times, there was an exclusive news by ChannelA where, in a complaint submitted by Park Yuchun’s side’s attorney law firm Sejong side on the 20th, the first accuser had demanded 1 billion KRW in settlement money from Park Yuchun.

It was learnt that Park Yuchun and his agency C-JeS Entertainment representative are claiming, through a complaint, that the first accuser Ms. A’s side made the demand: “I cannot live in Korea due to being sexually assaulted. I will go to China. I am asking for 1 billion KRW”.

Park Yuchun’s agency side tried to meet with Ms. A’s side but her boyfriend Mr. B and her older male cousin Mr. C came out together on her behalf and proposed 500 million KRW after, from the first settlement amount of 1 billion KRW. On this, the settlement had broken down and Ms. A’s side made accusations against Park Yuchun. Park Yuchun’s side counter-sued Ms. A under the pretexts of false allegations and blackmail.

Park Yuchun’s side plans to file additional complaints even against the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th accusers; following facts in connections [to sexual assault] emerging, and first accuser Ms. A.

mte, you said what I wanted to say. I don't know what his PR/company is thinking. This maybe makes her look bad (not for me because I would have done the same) but it also makes me think more than ever that it really was a sexual assault.

Considering how difficult it can be to get a conviction for sexual assault (esp in Korea), trying to gain monetary compensation at the very least makes sense. And ppl trying to say 1 billion won is 'too much' are super gross.

Why are you making it sound like because she's asking for money from him that suddenly he's innocent? Do you not realize the pain and suffering the victims have been going through not just with the assault itself but then having to live for who knows how long with the fact that his face is everywhere, that he's a celebrity beloved by fangirls and in the public sphere and she can't escape him? I'd take all his money because imagine the suffering and the trauma that would have to be relived every time she saw his face just by walking outside

Anyway:

Police are not only investigating Park Yoo Chun for rape allegations, but also for illegal confinement.

On the 20th, a representative from the Gangnam police told the media, "It's our policy to confirm whether the accused kept the alleged victims captive in any of the bathrooms at the site of the scene."


"At the heart of the accusation is the matter of aggravated confinement, which which will be confirmed in later examinations."

According to statute 278 of the penal code, those who arrest and imprison another party and commit cruel acts upon them can be sentenced to more than 7 years of imprisonment and charged with criminal intent.

Presently, the police are increasing their task force for the case from 6 members to 12, and are ramping up their investigations after the evidence the first victim submitted came back positive for male DNA.

Meanwhile, Park Yoo Chun's legal counsel submitted a complaint at the Gangnam Police Station against the plaintiff.


On the 19th, CJeS stated, "We have evidence that Park Yoo Chun did not commit these crimes" and "This evidence, along with the complaint we'll file on the 20th, will serve as proof of his innocence," referring to their intent to charge the 4 women for libel.

He could also get charged for going into those clubs during his service time, right?
