What's your favorite 4Minute MV?

I've left out the early Japanese ones, the ones made for translations of Korean singles.

HUH will always be my favourite 4Minute anything. It was my second KPOP mv ever, so it has a special place in my <3. I also really loved Hyuna's hair colour during this phase.

Other than that "Muzik" has this embarrasing/sentimental/cute vibe of kpop golden era tunes - too much autotune, trying too hard, but still hella enjoyable bc "memories". "Volume up" mv is still so nice to watch, I like the visuals.

Generally what was unique about 4M was their softness mixed with string of kpop-tough releases, they kinda had their own path outside of sexy/cute/"hard" trinity, like usually they were standing on the side in a good way + it's always nice to see a group with "dominant" member who seems to be super close still

Volume Up will forever be my favorite MV by them (the styling was gorgeous) but the song that has aged the best for me is Hot Issue. It's still a jam.

i have seen various wordings, some news said they have disbanded, others that they might disband.

on the last post here on omona about 4minute it was in black and white that they've disbanded, but then some (slower?) sources don't write about it yet...

i personally am more interested in posting about the good old days then getting the latest on their contract status, so i'll just wait for others to post more on the serious side of things. :(

HUH is amazing. I love this minialbum, including the overdone autotune. It's just so catchy and somehow I remember it gave me confidence while blasting it on my headphones.
Second favourite is Volume Up - another good mini! I still regularly jam to it
I'm not too found of their cutest concepts but even then, they always kept some kind of boldness that I will miss

I only followed them at the beginning of their career, it's funny thinking back at their debut how people were wondering if Jiyoon was ever going to take her sunglasses off lol I really like HUH, it's nice to listen to it again
Any news of their individual plans? HyunA is going to continue her solo career, but what about the rest?

I always wonder about how things would have turned out for 4minute if they'd *just* debuted a few weeks earlier, before 2NE1. There was really nothing like either of them on the girl group scene at the time and I remember the backlash - people saying they'd 'copied' 2NE1, etc (which was logistically impossible).

hmm i was thinking about this as well... i would think that things (read: their sales) would probably be more or less the same, just cause cube wouldn't really have had significantly better resources to promote 4minute either way, yg wouldn't have had worse resources, etc.
cube signed the widest deal (http://www.universalmusic.co.kr/company.asp) available for a korean artist at the time back in 2010, didn't do much with it... i can write a novel on all the missed opportunities they had, hence my conclusion :D 4minute's image would've certainly been cleaner at the start, though.
...but yeah, just thinking out loud obviously.

4Minute is the only group that I've loved every single track they released.
It's sad that the fierce groups from 2009 like them, 2NE1 and After School are all dead. I think we'll have to wait to see fierceness like that in K-Pop again (although I think WANNA.B might be able to hold me for a while).

4Minute disbanding made me like even less those new groups that look and sound all the same.

Their discography is super super SUPER underrated. It's the only discography between all of the k-pop artists where I can say I really like ALL the songs. I guess that's why they were my faves.
I'm gonna miss the cycle of waiting for a comeback > being disappointed > liking it > everyone is disappointed bc liked the previous comeback better > everyone starts liking it > repeat.
I've met k-pop thanks to them, in 2009 with MUZIK, so this is a big deal. It's weird bc it's kinda like the end of an era in my life because coincidently there's so many things I decided to change this month and then this happens...
I'm thankful to them for introducing me to k-pop and everything that came with it (which was A LOT). It led me to meet awesome people, learn new things... a bunch of stuff. I have no idea how my life would be now if I hadn't decided to watch their MUZIK music video back in the day. Thanks, girls ♥
