Police Release Official Statement on Super Junior Kangin's DUI

Police have released their official statement regarding Super Junior member Kangin’s DUI accident.

According to the official statement released on June 10, Kangin’s blood alcohol content at the time of the accident was determined to have been 0.157 percent. The level at which the police revoke a driver’s license is 0.1 percent. The Gangnam Police Department have forwarded their findings to the prosecutor’s office with a recommendation of indictment.

Kangin was involved in the DUI accident in the early morning hours of May 24, where he hit a light post and left the scene. He reported to the Gangnam Police Station several hours after the fact.

In response to his DUI, SM Entertainment stated, “Kangin contacted the police regarding the accident and received an investigation at the arranged time. Kangin will cease all entertainment-related schedules to take some time to self-reflect.” Kangin has been on indefinite hiatus ever since.

the only thing i got from this scandal is that he wont go to international scheduels so they need ryeowook to postpone his enlistment to cover for him .... but since tour dates are released already (for next month) and ryeowook has less than 30 days to get visa for various countries, they just cancelled shows in those countries that didnt give him visa fast enough ...

that means most of the tour was cancelled

they're doing a fanmeet tour called Super Camp, which is a smart way to keep fans engaged and the dough rolling in during the enlistment years

idk why they need ryeowook to replace him since it's not a full blown concert and afaik yesung is attending (so they have their vocalist) but apparently his is going to be at the mexico city show and one other. No word yet on whether the north american shows will still go ahead, though, since like OC said Ryeowook applied for visas late

I think it's because without Kangin there would only be 4 members attending and that might come off as a rip off to fans. At least that was one of the explanations I read when the article about Ryeowook delaying his enlistment came out.
