Star Empire has revealed that 9MUSES members Euaerin and Minha have graduated from the group. Furthermore, the group will be engaging in unit group promotions this summer. The members and number of members for the unit groups have yet to be revealed.

Below is the agency’s official statement:

“Hello. This is Star Empire.

“We would like to inform you about the reports regarding Euaerin (birth name Lee Hye Min) and Minha (Park Minha).

“9MUSES members Euaerin and Minha’s exclusive contracts have expired and they decided to graduate from 9MUSES.

“This was not an easy decision for them and the other 9MUSES members. However, we respect their decisions as they have promoted under 9MUSES for seven years and we understand their situations.

“We wish the best for Euaerin and Minha who are graduating and starting a new path.

“9MUSES is preparing for a summer comeback through unit group promotions and we will inform you of the unit group details soon.

“We will do our best for the fans who always love and support 9MUSES. Thank you.”

I handled Eunji, Sem, and Sera leaving pretty well, BUT THIS TIME I'M SERIOUSLY CRYING. Though I admit I teared up a bit with Eunji and Sem. I expected Sera to leave so I was meh when she did. I know Erine also wanted to leave early on so I also expected she'll be leaving, but she was also my first ever bias, so maybe that's why it made me cry. I'm also growing fonder of Minha as time goes by. I'm really hoping we'll see her as actress Park Minha.

I don't want any new members anymore. I don't want 9muses to be like Jewelry whose name survived but not the members. Star Empire do your best to keep this lineup, I beg you. (And while I'm at it, don't screw up OMZM as well.)

:((( bad timing... but I'm glad you discovered them at all! I first found out about them on omona - I remember the very time I heard of them was Kyungri's Wild teaser post. I dismissed them as an SNSD ripoff at first (not a SONE), watched their Wild MV but it didn't leave an immediate impression, kinda didn't care about them after that.. but then one day I was watching TV and saw this outdoor Wild (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbDp3bovA_o) stage on Music Bank and I was really impressed.. started watching more vids and the rest is history T_T

their music has never disappointed (excluding NPB lol) and I loved that they were getting more involved in production. I respect them so much as idols, artists and people ;( /ramble

Tbh I wasn't really attached to Eunji and Lee Seum so I didn't take it bad... Sera was a different story, though. And those two... Minha really blossomed last year and Erin's rap are often my favourite parts of 9Muses' songs :(
I was under the impression that the current lineup was fine and would promote together for a little while. I wonder what will happen to the rest of the girls :( Isn't Hyemi's contract up to this year too?
But in the end, they're getting free of Star Empire so run girls, run!

my jaw dropped (while gasping... damn im dramatic but like IT'S NINE MUSES FUCK) when i read the news as well.

they really were both such important members like you said. obviously erin doesn't need to be explained but screw every1 who thinks minha wasn't integral tbh!! like this is an idol group, you don't need to contribute amazing vocals/rap to be important lol. minha was gaining a lot of popularity for her looks since they came back with drama and i personally think she's pretty decent at acting. in my opinion minha really could have boosted namyu's (perhaps just her own, similar to siwan, but even that still would've had a positive effect on namyu's popularity tbh) recognition if she'd been cast in a public broadcast drama.

Erine's raps were often my favourite parts of their songs too, it's going to be hard to listen to their discography for a while. I've already blacklisted Rania's songs for now, if this keeps up I'm going to have no music to listen to anymore ;(

Erine is super well off hahaha have you seen the 9m fashion_bot twitter account that tweets pics of their outfits/accessories and price tags? one Erine handbag could probably fund an entire comeback lol I'm always amazed that she would willingly be an idol in such a shitty company. I respect her so much for becoming so much more committed to the group ever since the 9m documentary where she ran away.

I know that no matter how heartbroken us fans are, the members must be feeling 10x worse. I've never doubted their friendship and bond and to go through this thrice must be so painful for them.. but I know they're definitely going to stay in contact with Erine and Minha, more so than with Sem/Eunji/Sera at least..

Echoing the comments of 'who will do erin's rap' i mean sungah is good and improving (and i think originally intended to be a rapper) but her tone and flow are so different and tbh she chews her words and erin was just starting to write her own lyrics too

I very rarely stan visuals but i always thought minha really just embodied the nine muses concept & she's one of those people who only got more gorgeous and elegant with age

I hope they all leave star empire en masse old & new alike and set up their own agency and erin/sera can produce and eunji can direct their films and sojin can choreograph and all will be amazing
