A piece of good news for the Blackjacks!

YG Entertainment expressed that they had been staying away from promoting Park Bom's solo, just like Dara with her, Kiss single. Dara's song topped the various music charts, but did not go on any further other that. They had believed that a special promotion will throw them off focus from their November album release.
A representative from YG stated on the 2nd, "Recently, the release of 2NE1's new album got delayed, clearing the path for Park Bom to promote her single. Because of all the love we received, we will not be rushing to complete this (2NE1) album. We will work hard to make sure that every song is of a title song calibre."
Park Bom, obviously nervous for her very first stage without her fellow 2NE1 girls by her side, said "I am very happy these days, but feel ten times pressures. I will try my best to be beneficial to my 2NE1." She is currently in a heavy training day and night to keep her promise to be the best. Her anticipated stage will open its veils on November 8th on SBS Inkigayo.

It seems that popular 4 member korean group, 2ne1 (considered as a leader in many girl groups) are currently doing solo activities for their own. And so far it's all going good!
It's only been a few days (November 28) since 2ne1's Lead Vocal member Park Bom has released a new digital single titled 'You and I' and its currently hitting up top spots on various online charts such as Mnet, Bugs, Cyworld, Dosirak and more. Not only that, previously member Sandara Park released 'Kiss (digital single)' which has also been quite a hit being number 1 for consecutive weeks on weekly charts.
So what was the reason for all these solo activities between 2ne1? It seems YG is trying to make the girls explode through popularity by doing these promotions. Not only that, but it will be boring if they perform together as a group for along period of time. Is it for money too? Indeedly it is. Apparently since the girl group is popular with their fans, YG is trying to make money out of them. Therefore not only they will gain fame but also money. It will cost alot of money if the group perform as a group and solo at the same time, therefore they would expand it abit.
Not only the Music Industry is trying to work hard with their artistes, but what it seems is 'are they are using them to make money'. 2ne1 is currently one of the hottest groups in South Korea. As you can see, if a member of the group releases an album, the fans will go excited for it. Therefore we can see the different sides and personalities of each members. The group is currently aiming songs for the teenagers as most of the time, teenagers will appear online on the internett and listen to their songs. Therefore they will reach No.1 on most sites.
Though most groups are currently promoting solo and as a group, it may be hard see see new faces and new groups in the music industry.

Date: 2009-11-02 08:46 am (UTC)I think that now that they've seen how hugely successful Taeyang, GD and even Seungri (who won quite a few K-charts and Multizens during the Strong Baby days) can be, they aren't as afraid to take chances with 2NE1's solos. I think they would've done the same with BB in the beginning if they knew that BB would grow to be as amazingly famous/well-received as they are. Plus, Bom originally wanted to be a solo artist coming into YG, so this might be their way of fulfilling what she wished for.
