This week we’ll be going back to the first Friday of June in 2009. I honestly haven’t thought about these songs in so long, it feels like FOREVER ago! We’ll start with a song from South Korea’s quintessential ballad group…

#3 SG Wannabe featuring Baek Seung Hwa “My Love, Crybaby”
Back in the day, some groups always had these dramatic MVs. Like, they filled an entire 18 episode KDrama in one, epic 9 minute MV. SG Wannabe is a prime example with most of their MVs. I remembered this MV more than the song, it’s so well done. (P.S. There's no SG Wannabe tag???)

#2 2PM “Again and Again”
Oh hey Jaebum...whatcha been up to lately? Remember how upset everyone was when he left? What happened to all the Post-Its?!?

#1 Super Junior “It’s You”
If you had asked me earlier, then I would’ve told you that I only really like 1 ½ Super Junior songs. And then I played this MV, and 15 seconds in I was like “I remember this! I liked this song too!”

#4 SeeYa, Davichi, and Ji Yeon from T-ara “Women’s Generation”
I remember they did this songs loads of times on music shows, and I never really liked it before lol. It’s catchy tho.

#10 IU “Boo”
I’d forgotten about this because I never paid much attention to her until “Marshmallow.” But once I saw the tutu, the memories came back! I’m guessing this is most of the older kpop fans’ first IU memories too.

Core Content seriously had such good girl groups but they're such a crappy company, even worse than your normal Kpop standards. >=[

This was the height of my venture into Kpop so I'm totally "get off my lawn, kids!" oldie cause I feel like songs back then were so much more certifiable ear-worm materials.

p.s: I wish we've a tag just for these posts, OP. Cause I don't always have time to check out the music when they're posted and these are so awesome in helping me find new songs and rediscovering old bops.

Again & Again and Neorago are such classics. Definitely a great time period for kpop! I remember my friends and I tried to do the arm dance in Again & Again and failing miserably.

The remix/concert version of Neorago/It's You is sooo good. Probably my favorite SuJu song.

Ah, Again & Again, the song that made me a stan. No regrets. I could have sworn SG Wannabe used to have a tag?? Did i hallucinate that....

I haven't thought about Diva in forever. Such a catchy song, I miss the early AS years :( I still listen to that PJY album frequently. Somniloquy is one of the most lovely songs.

Neorago had the best parodies on youtube too. I just looked and I couldn't find any of the good ones, they must have been taken down. My favorite was the one where they're trying to convince their girlfriends to let go of all the stupid stuff they were doing (most of which was stuff SJ would do).

Oh man, some serious jams this Friday. Like a lot of people, "Again and Again" took me from knowing nothing about 2PM to a 200% stan in those 4 and half minutes I watched the MV. I remember being disappointed that Jay Park left 2PM since I loved the group, but I always thought it was for the best. He never fit the boy band ideal. It just wasn't for him.

"It's You" is a great Super Junior song, and I really like "Boo" by IU too.
