It's very good that JYP does this, people need to back off. Also, w/9 wins, the CFs and all the attention they are receiving, Twice is really a national gg. Congrats to them.

I feel like those kind of rules should be pretty standard across the board, but obv if JYP is putting out a notice, they aren't. The only one I don't understand is the 3rd one. Do they mean following as in fans following solo members around or showing up to support their individual schedules?

&& what is this blacklist business? Do they have a database of id numbers or something?

Probably individual schedules like closed show tapings and things like that.

Fanclub members. Although, not all sasaengs are fanclub members, but should any of them be and get caught, their number will probably be blacklisted. And if I remember correctly, I think those numbers are tied to their ID number or something. Don't take my word on this.

i'm no expert, but iirc it's law that you have to basically provide your national identity number (or whatever it's called) when signing up for pretty much any korean website. fansites included

I never tried for a fan site, but you don't have to for JYPE Fan's. BUT if you join the official fan clubs and register your fan # there, then that is tied to your national ID (if you live in Korea).

It's not just twice, but all JYPE groups which is excellent.
Other entertainment companies (SME) should take note.

I think it's only with GOT7, DAY6, and TWICE. Fans of 2PM and the older crews are exempt from this like they were with the previous note, methinks.

I feel like with the older groups their jype assumes their fans are more mature? But that's not always the case so I wonder why it's only the new gen kids?

it's a good thing that jype is taking a firm approach with fans from all their groups.

The rules apply to GOT7 and DAY6 as well.

Good, to be honest. After the way people were at the airport last week (?) with GOT7 and DAY6 and people making that stupid, "Well these fans are the people who make you rich and famous" comments, I was done.

JYP showing other agencies how it's done! Good for them.
Pretty Nayeon is pretty.

This is brilliant. Entitled fans need to be put in their place.

Bighit have similar rules for Bangtan and dear lawd the whining that goes on in the fandom every time they make the rules stricter. So annoying.

I'm glad they're being strict about this. Too many companies (Cough SM) let fans get away with too much.
I read today that a girl followed KNK to their dorm and she was immediately blacklisted. If a two-month old nugu group's company is willing to take those measures than there's no excuse for the rest

Good for JYP and Twice -- i'm sure they'd have a lot more rabid fans given their meteoric popularity

So many people were saying that they didn't like the new rules on my twitter feed, but it's all common sense tbh. I'm glad that JYPE is taking the steps to formally announce it though.

Sadly, common sense isn't so common nowadays. Some people on my twitter feed were like that too and I was confused by their strong reaction.

This is amazing! I also wish it was standard across the board in terms of kpop.

The touching thing especially. I just saw a video of an iKON member walking into his hotel & Chinese fans (yes, plural!) were putting their arms around his neck, arms & waist & walking him literally step by step from outside until he reached the elevator. It was so uncomfortable to watch.

Now how can this blacklist also go to other companies to do the same thing lol

Date: 2016-05-30 08:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sra-interesante.livejournal.com
ahhhh yes, so happy to see more and more companies willing to protect their artists

i'm glad there's a context for entitled sasaengs fans to understand they are not just doing weird shit that "other fans dont understand" dude you are creepy, even companies are making rules against you

i hope other companies who's idols are still victims of stalkers and sasaengs *cough*SM*cough* get one blacklist too

Well done JYP!

It's great that JYP is taking a firm approach to protect TWICE and their other artists
all the rules should be common sense for fans but i know how delusional some fans get so good on JYP
