hmmmm. Honestly, I feel like YG and his artist have been under performing this year and it makes me wonder if maybe knetz just don't care for YG fam anymore. I remember a time when anything that YG artist comes out, it automatically stays #1 for a couple of days, weeks even and hits melon chart's roof 5-10 times. And now? nope... Lee Hi, Winner, iKon, and Akmu. It just feels like none of them made any impact in 2016.

I don't know... it's just sad because it's not the artist fault, but the company who's shitting/shafting them. YG really needs to learn how to manage his talents better.

yg's mindset is stuck in past big bang and 2ne1's success. he thinks he can get away with minimal promotions for new comebacks and releases. even when big bang worked hard on variety and promotions in the beginning. he's wasting the public attention on kpopstar winners by sticking them in the basement for 84 years

I think Lee Hi would have done much better if she had chosen other singles and switched some songs between the first half and the second half of the album because the second half was a bit weak. Winner had good songs idk why Korea didn't like them. The same with AkMu. And iKON just released a digital single which is not even their proper comeback so we're still waiting for them. At least they're coming out of the basement.

Idk but I always thought YG's music is not the "typical" music that Korea would go for unless it's a big name like BigBang or 2NE1.

I wish I understood YG's long-term strategy. Is he just waiting on Big Bang to enlist before he promotes any of his artists? Does he wait until BigBang enlists and then release MADE so he doesn't have to spend any money on promotions? Perhaps the MADE album is released just as monthly digital singles followed by monthly digital singles of the special repackaged MADE album followed by the special dance practices DVDs and subunits and soloists who release their albums in monthly digital singles, too? The rest of the company artists will be there for the "family" photo.

first of all, he's not gonna do that, but if he did... i just.
they're 2ne1. they're an iconic group that's been around since 2009 and minzy was there for all of that. same lineup. only 4 members. that is not a situation where you can replace a member. that's like replacing one of the 4 beatles, except worse because it's 2ne1.
it would be a massive middle finger to minzy and the fans and it would be so awkward for the members.

OP, you did not lie about any of those notes. YG really just needs to keep his mouth shut unless concrete things are actually happening because everyone's tired of his "boy who cried wolf" shenanigans. I get his whole "we don't give our artists deadlines" BS but literally how hard is it to create schedules and stick to them?

Also as I say this YG probably will end up getting my money for Big Bang 10 because I'm trash
