if she goes to the public friendly song route, i can see that she's going to do well, but it's sm we are talking about. but i hope she still finds success regardless
that's what i was hoping too: a public friendly sound, but i don't trust sm lately. like.
i'm already kinda squinting at them for the release timeline: confirming only a little under six days before release, no press release yesterday, barely any information out in general when the album comes out pretty much in a day and a half. they totally dropped the ball with jonghyun's promotions already so i'm afraid they're gonna do the same to luna, esp with exo coming in so fast.
I find it strange that no track list has come out already. These solos promotions are strange so far. I feel like they planned Taemin's out reaaallly well and everyone else's not so much.
me too, like ..., i expected the teaser would come out today and not tomorrow? and i thought that we'd get the tracklist yesterday but nothing ... at all. they still need to get out her album details too. it just feels like a lot that has to happen in such a short period of time.
but ia. the lead up to taemin's promotions were fantastically done - sm started slacking a bit during the actual promos but that's typical of them regardless. but there's a noticeable difference - like... very noticeable. i know it's been causing a lot of bickering with shawols (like comparing his promos with jonghyun's) which i've been staying far away from, lol. i kind of noticed that they didn't do much with tiffany beyond the album release either.
Taemin's were legit fantastic. He had two M/V's, the way they did the track previews was amazing like amazed.
I mean Tiff did book an appearance on SNL Korea, but that was it really. She did her two week promo on music shows and then that was it. They should have tried making her do something international since it has a western appeal (#justforWhatDoIDoEnglishVer).
I feel like Luna's is def overshadowed though by Tiffany and Jonghyun's and right before another major group comeback (exo) it's rude, lol. Luna deserves the spotlight all on her own instead of having all these back to back solo's.
i was actually floored by how well sm promoted taemin, tbh. i figure it's because they view him as their "ace" and such, ie: their perfect idol (which i can't disagree with; he has the whole package as a performer).
i kind of thought that they'd do something like that with tiffany as well? or even that she'd appear on more radio shows. that's basically all that jonghyun is getting as well: hosting snl korea next week. otherwise, he's just doing fansigns and a few radio appearances (but he's camera anxious so i can understand why). i def feel bad for luna though like she's one of my ults and i had a feeling her solo debut would be coming this year but i figured sm would do a little more for her? like there hasn't even been any word of her having a debut showcase so i'm assuming it isn't happening.
