Members Leo and Ravi reportedly complained of being woozy and fainted onstage during a performance in Mexico. On May 23, VIXX’s agency Jellyfish Entertainment conveyed the news of Leo and Ravi’s conditions via a statement posted to the group’s fan café. The full statement reads as follows:

“Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.

Many fans were worried after hearing the news that Leo and Ravi fainted onstage during a concert in Mexico today, so we will update you on the situation.

The concert venue is in the highlands, and that combined with the heat inside the venue led the two members to complain of dizziness. It became clear that the two members could not continue their performance.

In order to fulfill the promise between the members and the fans, the remaining four members will continue their performances to the best of their ability. Right now, Leo and Ravi are receiving emergency treatment from a medical team and are currently recovering. All of Leo and Ravi’s schedules are canceled, and the two will return to Korea to receive treatment at a hospital and rest.

We deeply apologize for worrying the fans.”

VIXX is due to have a fan meeting at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium on June 19, although it’s unclear whether or not Ravi and Leo will be well enough to participate by then. Hopefully they both get well soon!

Soompi, Naver

Something is not right here. If you knew that it is hotter in Mexico, then they should've known to hydrate them more & not over work them???? I'm glad they are resting up though.

Edit: This is the video of Ravi's fall (TRIGGER WARNING)

So basically almost at the same time?? Nah, something isn't right. I guess Jellyfish letting them go back to Korea and rest is more than could be said for some other agencies. Hope they get better soon! :(

And hasn't Vixx been to Mexico before? It makes no sense for them not to know :////

I've seen lots of performers feel dizzy and have difficulty breathing whenever they have a concert in Mexico, more so if the venue is all closed and there's a lot of people :/

They should know this and be careful.

I saw the video of Ravi fainting on stage and it was super scary. :( I hope they're both ok and rest well.

Jellyfish should have know better, this could have been prevented. Not everyone can endure + 35ºC AND the heat of x amount of people...

Aside from this, it always surprises me that people faint in different weathers, it's not like the extreme climate of a desert or the Antarctica.

Anyway, I hope that they are ok now :/

it's not only about the weather, Mexico's altitude is what makes most of these performers dizzy tbh. The heat only makes it worse, since it's already hard for the body to get used to the altitude.

Ah, I've forgotten altitude. Yes, that's a big deal.

One member fainting is already too much.
At least they're being removed from the tour. Let's hope they're not on a plane back in three days time.

Apparently some audience members fainted too so I don't know how much of this I can blame on Jelpi. It sounds like it was kind of a perfect storm of unfortunate circumstances - Wonsik and Taekwoon have been super busy lately so I'm not surprised this happened considering the heat, the altitude, the venue, etc.

tbf, there's always fainting in concerts due to the crowd, the pushing, etc. Mostly cause of health problems, or (in most cases) they didn't eat at all that day, didn't sleep enough, etc only for the purpose to get in line early. Those are the main reasons of fans fainting during concerts- so I think there's definitely some blame on Jelpi, cause if the members weren't well rested, didn't eat before the concert, and weren't hydrated enough, those factors would certainly lead to fainting. And knowing about the altitude and the weather, they should've taken care of these things.

What I'm saying is I think this is more a case of unintentional oversight rather than Jelpi cracking the whip in an evil company sort of way.

I've actually never heard about anyone fainting at any shows I've been to but I guess I've been lucky LOL.

I've been to more than 30 concerts in my life and most of them had fainting people lol

I think it happens more in latin america though, idk how it is in other countries, but here, most fans are like camping out of the venue like a week before and they don't eat or drink water so of course they don't end up well.

Please tell me where because the ambulance is always present at a concert I go to, lolol.

if they reach the point of have members fainting on middle of a show, maybe they need to reconsider how much rest every group member is having ...
hope all of them are okay and in the future their packed schedule dont lead to such situation again

Seeing the video of him passing out. Just, scary man. I'm glad he wasn't closer to the edge of the stage.

I was thinking that, too. That would have ended very, very badly. Poor Camel oppa. I feel like he hasn't been taking very good care of himself lately. Just working too hard.

I feel like no matter how all of us Starlights want him to rest, I feel like they'll rest for like a couple of days, maybe a few weeks and be right back on the ground since Vixx likes to work. But them taking a breather would be nice to see.

Fainting in general sucks, I can't imagine having to still perform :(
I only saw a vid of Ravi fainting, but even that was too much. At least Jelpi is letting them rest at least until mid-June, but things like this aren't flukes. If the condition they're in stays the same, it'll happen again.

damn i just saw the vid of ravi fainting (not sure if there's one of leo fainting) and i'm glad hakyeon got him off that stage quickly, the way his body was flopping around made me upset.

this reminds me of a documentary i saw a while ago. it was of a ballet group that went to a hot place in high altitude and everytime they went off stage after a dance they'd immediately wear an oxygen mask.
those conditions must really be killer

This was my thinking - why weren't they sucking on oxygen at every opportunity? (Hell, maybe they were!)

According to Wikipedia, Mexico City is about two kilometres higher in altitude than Seoul. They must've been gasping like fish.

Is that N who quickly gets Ravi up and off-stage? On ya, mate. Must be part of their training.

:( fanaccs from Toronto say that Ravi appeared to be especially tired and out of it. He's also been looking reaaallly thin lately (and the rest of vixx but especially him).

The traveling cant be easy either - from what I gathered they flew over and performed in toronto the day of, may have stayed the night, then flew over to mexico city and performed less than 24hrs later. The set list in toronto was pretty extensive too.

): a fanacc of vixx headed to airport said they looked better. Poor bbs. I like jelpi as a company so im hoping they do right by these tired kids

I hope they were eating and drinking properly (the other members too)
They surely need the rest
