Plot: The mystery romance stars Seo Hyun-jin as the average-in-every-way, plain Oh Hae-young, an assistant manager at a catering company who’s been stuck in that position for years. In school she was always compared to the Pretty Oh Hae-young (Jeon Hye-bin), who’s just better at everything, and one day Pretty Oh Hae-young enters her catering company as her new boss.

Eric plays a sound director in the film industry, who also has the ability to see the future. Jeon Hye-bin is his ex-fiancée who vanished without a trace and left him at the altar, and he’ll spend the drama trying to get disentangled from both Oh Hae-youngs (and failing, of course).

i don't know if a lot of people are watching this, but everyone should be tbh. it's such a lovely, cute drama with beautiful cinematography and great characters! i hope it continues to be this good.
and i hope someone ends up slapping his mother because that'd be the most satisfying thing ever, that bitch.

so far all her reactions to situations (wrist-grabbing etc) have been pretty realistic and amazing so i'm really hoping she's gonna tear him a new one and that it'll be satisfying. he deserves it! i do constantly keep forgetting what he did when they're being cute together (which is a lot) so the reveal is kinda double for me because i really like them together.
i think she might get back with her ex for a while when he comes back but tbh on the other hand he could also just have been honest and say what was going on, so maybe that relationship isn't the greatest either? i'm really tired of the noble idiot trope too.

I like them together too, but they have no chance of working if this were a rl setting. Both she and her fiance were victimized by him for one. Plus he's known and kept it from her since day one. It's a double betrayal. On top of that there's the fact that she and her fiance were actually in love...

Youngji has a very small part in this, but I think she makes the most of it. She's one half of a cute young couple that are always making out every chance they get. I guess that's surprisingly racy for a typical idol role :p. It sounds like it should be irritating but they're actually kind of adorable. She's fun and silly and plays it really well, even if they only turn up here and there.

I tried to watch and "just" oh haeyoung is an amazing character, but eric's..... I just roll my eyes every single time. I believe his regret about what he did and all, but, at the same time, he knows the whole situation and still doesn't explain, ask for forgiveness or whatever he thinks he still can do. and even if I love eric, I never relate to his characters. lol maybe it's his acting, idk...

I really love this drama, it's the best one I've seen in ages. After finding the first episode a little clunky and hard going, it quickly drew me in.

Some of the writing in this is just fantastic. Oh Hae Young is such a refreshing character, charming and cute and a bit messed up in very relatable ways. I can't deny I'm crushing on her so badly, lol. Everyone feels a lot more fleshed out than typical drama characters, right down to her office friends who have her back when things get tough. That whole karaoke warzone scene still makes me a bit angry just thinking about it, such a brutal portrayal of the shit OHY's had to deal with all her life.

Even the other Oh Hae Young is an interesting one, showing traces of humanity here and there to the point where you start feeling sorry for her until her vicious, jealous streak comes out and cuts it all down. And there's "Just" OHY's long-suffering mom, who seems like a bit of a nightmare at first until you start seeing more of her story and the way she goes on the offensive to help her process the crap in her life. It's a show that isn't afraid to take the time to flesh things out and think about why characters do what they do, and it's all the more interesting for it.

Eric's Mom though, holy shit. What an absolute monster.

Random thing: for all the kdrama craziness and literal precognitive abilities on display, the one thing that bugs me as jarringly unrealistic is that the sound engineers are all using Beats headphones.

I'm only on ep 5 and I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this drama. Even with Eric's hair and makeup looking like that....

My favourite part of this drama is that even the "bad" characters are allowed to have layers and no one's a true caricature.

I wasn't sure if I'd prefer it to Discovery of Love but I find this female lead much more likeable.
