YG Clarifies Reports About Jang Hana Joining Upcoming Girl Group

Previous reports about YG’s upcoming girl group speculated that Jang Hana would be one of the members.

Jang Hana appeared as a contestant on SBS’s “K-Pop Star 3″ and was dubbed the next Lee Hi because of her soulful voice. Following the show, Jang Hana signed with YG Entertainment and featured on Jinusean’s song “Tell Me One More Time.”

However, YG has clarified the reports and stated, “Jang Hana is not included as one of the members of the new girl group that will debut.”

It appears highly likely that Jang Hana will have a solo debut instead.

this is nothing new, but I still have the same doubt: what is she going to do then? idk if she changed a lot during the time she's locked in the basement, but I don't think she has that IT thing to be a solo act tbh. esp with the harsh competition for promotion spots with yg.
lee hi was awkward in the beginning, but there was always something that pulled you into her (besides the fact that she's a great singer). same for katie kim. plus they were always more popular during their kpopstar days than hana. I hope I'm terrible wrong.

I won't be surprised if yg announces that she left the company in the next months.
