Hmm... nothing new? Everyone had figured it out already that Tokyo Dome and whatever release they were planning on were her goodbye to SNSD and fans, but for some reason, it happened sooner.
Back then it was useful for Jessica to put the blame on SNSD to have her fans supporting her more than ever, and now it's useful to be diplomatic, not appear as a threat to the brand so that SM/general public opinion would let her do her thing as she want. She's clever.
I never bought the theory that SNSD had enough power to kick a member out when it was such a bad business move and timing, and ruined an already established plan/a part of their brand and appeal. It's still a variable, but there's obviously more than that, like Jessica planning her future out of SNSD/SM and SM being a control freak over individual activities.

I'm firmly Team Jessica on this but I also don't think the girls had the power to get rid of her. Ultimately it was up to SME because of money. I do not believe she skipped out on her duties when the acting members were absent more and more while she was always there at these concerts looking super isolated by her group. I'm grateful they dropped her. She didn't seem happy and it was really testing my Tae love.

Now look at Jessica being all happy and grateful and in love. She's living her best life right now and sharing that with her fans.
