Yoon Shi Yoon Officially Joins Cast of “2 Days & 1 Night”!

Actor Yoon Shi Yoon has finally been confirmed to be joining KBS variety show “2 Days & 1 Night!”

On April 15, producer Yoo Ho Jin confirmed the news to a Korean media outlet. “We are currently in the middle of filming,” he said.

Yoon Shi Yoon had been linked to the show a few weeks ago, but the “2 Days & 1 Night” representatives had responded until now with statements that they were still in discussions.

“Yoon Shi Yoon decided to join us recently after thinking about it for a while,” Yoo Ho Jin said. “We just finished recording our opening segment. I don’t think there’s a member he was close with before, but the atmosphere was positive. Please anticipate the broadcast.”

I miss Gutaeng-hyung a lot -- but Donggu is also adorable and adds a different role to the group. 2D1N is pretty great this season, so it's one of my faves along with Mask Singer. :D

haven't seen previous 2 seasons (and probably won't, too many eps, too little time :P), but I've read many times that season 3 is the best of them all. And I really enjoy it ;)

I really like him in the mix although I hope he loosens up a bit for his own sake.
I think the show needs a new member before it starts getting repetitive so although I miss Gutaeng-hyung I think this will be better for the show... if Donggu stops taking everything seriously. If he doesn't I'm afraid it'll wear him down.

totally guteaeng-hyung all the way for me too! 2d1n is my fav kvariety show!
can't get used to dong gu just yet. the first episode was just okay. his positive attitude was just slightly annoying, so idk really. he'll probably grow on me.
i don't like the fact that he overlaps just a bit with jung joonyoung's character, but we'll see how that goes.

YES! finally someone that isn't fawning over him. I mean nothing personal but it's just hard to see a tryhard on variety. and it seems like he has this mindset that just bcos he's new he deserves a free pass tbh.

really hopes he tones down a notch. well it's his first ep so..

for reals!!! he was such a tryhard that it was awkward because the other members really don't give a shit. it's only been one episode but he's already got a sink or swim feel i.e. either he'll adjust or he'll quit the show.

The show has been on my weekly watch-list since he joined, i love him on the show!!! It's amazing how well he already adapted to the show and the team in only 3 episodes.

i'm still catching up the episodes from the beginnig (currently at 2015.04.19 + plus i've about 20 eps from 2015), so I was curious about new member, how's he doing, will he fit in the show? also, i'm sad that Kim Juhyeok left the show...

I really miss gutaeng hyung :( i personally feel like they would have been fine without a new member tbh, I've seen YSY on another variety show and he was very bad lmao

Idk honestly, ppl are acting like the show got so much funnier now that he joined, but that's a bit of a reach lol.. I'm not gonna get too attached to him tbh, for a lot of actors they just have a hard time letting go because of their image and worrying about future casting (except gutaeng hyung and cha taehyun lol), and they unfortunately don't stay on variety shows for very long and will get pulled out by their agency. Tbf he's adjusting a little faster than other new members I've seen added to other variety shows, but that's about it. Lol

"i personally feel like they would have been fine without a new member tbh" i feel the same! the dynamics of other 5 members are good enough to pull it off (only disadv. is than the number of them is uneven, which is bad for group games). Even watching eps with that baseball player (and he was quite funny) i thought I want them to stay as 5.
Well, maybe YSY will turn out as a good casting choice?

I don't think he's as amazing as the response has been, but he's doing pretty well and his earnestness is pretty cute. I think the cast itself, esp Junho, is also really good at accommodating to new guests.

Even though I knew there's a new member, I was hoping so badly that Joohyuk will come back. :( Love it that the members are willing to welcome him back.

Shiyoon is okay, I guess. His character is much different from the rest, so it will either clash or change the dynamics of the team.

After I commented, I watched the episode you posted, and I thought it was really funny! YSY is just as cute and sweet as I remember him from pre-army, only with a way better body lol!! He reminds me of Lee Seunggi when he first joined, so eager to do everything "right" and naive to the other's tricks.

sorry im part of the group fawning over yoon shiyoon. tbh i think his newness is refreshing and injects life to the show. and the way the other members react to his tryhard antics is just hilarious! i feel that this new hardworking colleague image suits him but i hope over time he'll calm down and adjust to the dynamics of the rest and become lazy af like the rest hahahah. then maybe we'll see funny segments about his "before and after" lmaoo

also shower scenes were VERY appreciated. he has a nice, fit and lean body ^_^

I like him, he like that in the other show, barefoot friends, he doesn't know how much is a show, and how much is real, in this show you always hear how they change when the cameras are not on. I hope they all get along!
