In an article released with Konkuk University's professor Cho Seong Deok on May 1st, it has been revealed that SHINee's Minho is working on his master's degree in film practical acting skills. rather than doing a thesis, he is working on his master's via regular course work / research study.

With this reveal, there are now four members of SHINee who are in the process of working on their master's degree at the moment. Onew (who graduated with a bachelor's sometime in the last two years) is working on his master's in broadcasting music at Chungwoon University. Jonghyun (who graduated with a bachelor's in broadcasting music from Chungwoon University last year) is working on his master's in film and music at Myeongji University. Key (who graduated late last year with a bachelor's in film and music from Myeongji University) is working on his master's in culture and education contents development at Woosuk University. Taemin is currently working on his bachelor's degree in film and music at Myejongji University.

Now that I'll be 25 this year I'm thinking about my MBA.... I'd always said I'm never gonna get it but now that I look at my career advancement opportunities it seems like I might have to.......idk I don't know if it'll be worth it unless an employer helps me pay for it.

Wow are you me? I thought I was set but now that I'm turning 25, I want to go back for my master's before I'm 30... but I'm having such a hard time deciding what to do because I have a husband and a life in Korea, and I'd have to go back to America for the program I want. Ugh.

Is there even a master's degree related to graphic design? I used to think i'll continue my education degree, but somehow, i got more into graphic design bc of my job. I've been thinking about a MA but i'm not sure if my college grades are worth the MA since i'm considering taking the MA from a private university (and god knows how much it will cost).

I'm done with my finals. I'm just waiting for Wednesday so I can meet with my Techniques teacher to give me feedback about how horrible of a counselor I am, lol. I'm only in my 2nd semester so I can only go up right...*goes in a corner and cry*

Back when I was a really big Shawol I was so sure these guys, especially Minho, would rise above the idol title and really get behind the scenes like with Directing and business. Fast forward years later, and even though I'm just a casual fan now, it makes me happy to see them cementing their foundations. They are setting themselves up for success, and I'm excited to see where it takes them. :3

there is no benefit for being an entertainer in the eyes of the military. they view them as plain citizens. the way I understand it, every time the gov. is like "ay shinee, we're enlisting you" they can point to their enrollment and be like "sorry I'm in school". even big bang is enrolled in online classes somewhere and if anyone should get a celebrity status exemption, it's them.

plus, Myungji university has a lot of celebrity graduates because it's easy as hell and known as being... like... *translating slang in process* not worthy of even talking about in regards to degrees. so its used as a front for postponing military service.

I'm struggling because I want start graduate school before I'm 30 (I'm turning 25) but I don't know what to do. I want to study East Asian Studies with a focus in Korean, but I'd have to move back to America to study it. I have to think of my husband and a future baby, so I've been looking into online school but there's n o t h i n g I want to study online and I don't want to shell out 20k+ on a degree I don't want to do. Maybe I just shouldn't do it? I know it's early to think about but... I like making plans T____T I've touched on it briefly with my husband and he's down for whatever, but he's never lived abroad like I have (and am currently doing.) We talked about moving to America in like 20 years with future children, not 5. Sigh. He also can't speak English lol! And I don't want to do Korean school because they aren't very high ranked schools and I'm pretty sure they only are applicable in Korea.

Being an adult is hard.

They're already doing their master degrees at 24-26 meanwhile i'm older and still not completely done with uni. I feel so bad lol.
I'd liked that some of them had done something different from film/music tho tbh.

im happy that theyre pursuing higher education but i feel like are idols are studying the same. mostly acting, some music... is there any idol that actually studies something "useful"? like business administration? i know taecyeon does, but are there other idols as well?

I don't think you need to put down their academic fields as not useful just because they're music or arts related, but Girls Day Sojin has/is studying engineering (it escapes me if it's mechanical or civil) and UKISS AJ is studying psychology (according to last reports) and BAP Himchan was studying traditional music (I would say very useful considering interest in traditional music among Korean youth is declining)
