a shinee update post!

this is gonna be pretty short, but there's been such a rush of shinee related news!!! released over the last few days that i figured it'd be easiest to include it all in one post so! under the cut!

after confirmation on monday that shinee will be holding a fanmeet in chicago, illinois on may 8th, it was confirmed that they'll be stopping in two other places before then.

their first stop will be on may 6th where they'll be performing during the first day (which is the day reserved specifically for idol performance) of 2016 hallyu north. it's basically a toronto based convention where they're legitimately the only full group performing. the only others confirmed for the convention are: eden (formerly of lcp), dalbit and evol's hayana. presale ticketing was completed before the announcement of legitimately any artists but regular ticketing was put back on sale today.

following this, shinee will be making a trip to los angeles, california where they'll be performing at the 14th korea times music festival (kmf) apparently as the headlining act. this will be their second time that they'd attended the festival, the first time having been in 2009. others confirmed for the festival include: aoa, red velvet, tiger jk, wheesung and yoon mi rae.

as already known, their final stop in north america will be at their fanmeet in chicago on may 8th. both the price for tickets and when they'll go on sale were released the day after confirmation, and can be found above.

annnnnnnnd, along with all the north american related excitement, it's also been confirmed that shinee will be releasing their thirteenth japanese single on may 18th. the single, which is titled "because of you" (japanese title: "｢君のせいで｣" or "kimi no seide"), will coincide with the first of their two tokyo dome concert dates (and their third dome date of their current tour overall). the single album will include a b-side track entitled "nothing to lose".

despite there still being almost two months before the song will officially be released, it was added to the setlist of their ongoing japanese tour, shinee world 2016, which they kicked back off today after a month and a half break. a fancam of the performance can be seen above! it's rumored that the song may have been choreography by rino nakasone, who's response for many of shinee's other choreographies, such as: "replay", "love like oxygen", "juliette", "lucifer", "hello" and "your number".

people've been talking about it for awhile now, tbh. he was pretty much mia for about a month after shinee went on break from their jpn tour / taemin started promotions minus some posts on instagram which were either uploads from the past, or not really showing his entire face. he popped back up again on mcd three weeks ago, i think? and that's when people first noticed.

like others said: if he's happy, he's happy and i hope he's happy with it and that he hasn't seen all the comments that people have been leaving in his insta comments about it.

i remember reading an interview a few years ago where he said there were things about his face he didnt like but didnt want to change them bc he had learned to accept them and they made him who he was.

I LOVE KIMI NO SEIDE! And man, listening to the concert via stream today was more than just exciting^^ Everyone was SO confused because they did DxDxD very soon instead of right before the encore and left our Breaking News and then BAM... New song during the encore ♥
They also joked around so much, mostly thanks to Tae's pants rip when he did a Press Your Number move during the first ment xD But they seemed in such a good mood in general! It was really great listening =)

I am really happy for all the US and Canadian Shawols, who get to see them but am also crying some bitter tears, because I am stuck in Europe^^

URGH and now I can't wait for the official release of the new songs... Such a tease, performing it at the concerts already :D

Not excited at the new japanese single because i rarely like their japanese stuff, and this one sounds like it's gonna be a standard ballad from the title alone.

Edit: LOL, I just noticed the video with the new single and it's not bad. I don't love it but the sound is interesting and the coreo is sooo cool and intrincated as how it's expected from them.
