she sounds self aware of whatever people are talking about her and clc members ... i like when idols know whats going on inside their fandom but at the same time i wish they never read some awful and vicious words by netizens
I'm so amazed and impressed by how grounded and real she is. She doesn't sugarcoat the situation and the reality of the industry and it's so refreshing to read such frankness from an idol.
She sounded more bitter in the English translation of the Thai post :/ Even so, she always sounds really mature and self aware. I'm glad that she isn't taking it too hard on her body and I hope that she'll always keep an healthy mindset (and share it with comembers!). And that she took the time to wrote it in any language she could! She's amazing The part about taking responsability... it's bittersweet, I understand that the members would feel responsible for the so-called "attitude scandal" (which I never understood to begin with) but I really don't think it's their fault that the group hasn't been more popular, rather Cube's fault
I think it was in the comments on the reddit thread, I'm at work so I can't find it now >< sorry
Edit: sorry, it was on the comments for the Asianjunkie post here http://www.asianjunkie.com/2016/03/21/sorn-posts-her-candid-thoughts-about-a-bunch-of-stuff-on-clcs-1-year-anniversary/, translation by @kwannts (it's the featured comment so you'll find it easily) what is work next to kpop lol
i hate her tbh, who gave her the right to be so talented & hardworking & gracious & mature? i hope that she doesn't let the negative comments get to her too much, she's a fine size as she is. obviously it's her choice if she wants to lose weight but we know how that often ends up in this industry and i'll always worry about my faves when they express regret that they aren't thinner. i just want her to be healthy & happy & continue being the adorable little teddy bear that she is.
This is heart breaking tbh. I stopped checking for CLC after "Like" and the member additions were so unnecessary, but I will pull through for these flops because Sorn doesn't deserve this! I wish she could leave Cube and be saved by anothet company. Or she could join Apink lmao.
It's so refreshing to read such open words from an idol... One of things I really dislike about kpop is that they arent allowed to look tired or unhappy or complain, else it's rude or something. :/ But kpop is all image so I can't even hope for change
I'm indifferent to this group but I appreciate Sorn's honesty. I find it sad how self-conscious she must be as netizens always bash her for her "thicker" body. The industry is tough and there is so much competition with the constant debuts of new groups... Her positivism is admirable and I wish her/CLC the best.
her message is so nice. but it's kinda sad how much she wrote about losing weight rather than focusing on improving her singing, dancing or guitar playing. the company probably puts the most pressure on them for their looks. i feel like often times with girl groups the emphasis is on looking pretty and acting daintily so they don't seem intimidating or unladylike, even gain and hyuna talked about their hoobaes being intimated by them, and it gets in the way of developing stage presence or performance skills. their company should also be primarily to blame for their lack of popularity since the comapny is in charge of all the scheduling of promotions, concepts, and damage control but instead of trying cube has probably scapegoated them. now it makes me think if she would have been happier if she just debuted in thailand but maybe she didn't want to be in her brother's shadow. i did enjoy the choreo for this comeback though but i wish they could go back to something more spunky like pepe
This is a bittersweet message. And I'm ready to fight any and everybody for coming at Sorn's body. She does not need to lose weight. People need to get this idea out of their heads that everybody should and must have the same body type. It's disgusting and toxic.
