Pann: Goosebump inducing realization about Joy

OP noticed some things about Joy's images that makes her stand out/different from the other members and questions whether SM has some intention behind it.

"Irene, Seulgie, and Wendy were official trainees under SM Rookiez while Joy was the private trainee. She wasn't revealed until Red Velvet's debut teaser was released (Yeri was an official public trainee before her debut too).




In the 'Happiness' picture, you'll notice that Joy is the only one who has a gem in her crown and while the other members look surprised, she looks blank faced.



In their 'Ice Cream Cake' pictures, the members all have close ups and are staring at the camera directly while Joy is the only one turning around. The other members also have blonde hair while Joy has strawberry.



In the music video, there's also a scene where Joy's the only one standing outside and the other members are all looking at her.



In 'Dumb Dumb', she's placed in the front as if she's leading the group and she's also the only one without one foot up in the air.

Lastly, in the music video, Joy is the only one who isn't depicted as a doll."

4. [+114, -1] SM really does give me goosebumps. Red Velvet gives the impression of being Irene or Seulgi centered but maybe SM is secretly pushing Joy as the group's center and they'll slowly start revealing it once she gets more experience.

5. [+96, -2] In the Instagram teasers, Joy's also the only one staring straight at the camera and of a different feel from the other members.



6. [+95, -1] I've been an SM fan for years and this is definitely something they would plan intentionally. They really do a great job at creating unique worlds for their idols, just look at EXO's entire world. I'm sure Red Velvet has some story going on with them too.

7. [+94, -2] Joy seems to be the leader of the group. The gem in her crown, the fact that Joy's picture is of her turning around meaning she's in front of the camera. When the other members are turned around and she's staring straight ahead, that means the other members are behind the camera.

8. [+88, -7] If the interpretation of their new music video as being symbolic to the Sewol Ferry is correct, then wouldn't Joy represent the survivors...?

Ehh they're cherry picking to prove their agenda.

There's plenty of stages/teaser sets with one member wearing/doing something different and it isn't always her. As far as the dolls in Dumb Dumb - I suspect that was because of her height. They were trying to make them all look the same, and there's only so much you can do to disguise the fact that she's like 2 inches taller than all the others.

If I recall correctly, Yeri was supposedly already slated to debut and was the most talented out of all the other female trainees they currently had. So SM just stuck her in Red Velvet. Or at least I think that's how the story goes. I can't remember.
