mhm. at least if you don't include boa and you're going by like soloists that debuted from a group? (b/c boa's gonna be on top for awhile if you consider her long term career.) at least with combined digital and physical sales. people used to say she was even with kyuhyun because his debut single did really, really well digitally but his comeback single (and the one that followed) didn't do nearly as well.

i think if you did a combined ranking it'd be like: taeyeon (amazing digital, good physical → good solo concert result) → jonghyun (stable digital, good physical → best solo concert results) → kyuhyun (stable digital, good physical → good solo concert result) → taemin (alright digital, great physical). after that it's kind of a blur between zhou mi, ryeowook and amber but i think amber did the worst overall, sadly.

I think she's successful both in physical and digital. General public loves her. Taemin's Press it sold over 100k units too, but it failed on digital chart.

I'm excited but I wish she'd get some time to rest. I'm also a little shocked by how skinny she looks lately. She's always been skinny but these days it's really striking, as if she's been losing weight. I wonder if she's the kind of person who eats less the busier they get? I'm worried about her tbh

She's been gaining weight!! If I remember correctly she promised fans during her Agit concert that she'll start to gain weight again. Also their SIA performance showed her having more meat in her thighs, so yay!!!

I guess I was thinking about the period between TTS Christmas promotions and award show season, when every time I saw her I wondered if she'd lost weight.She said on that Chinese-Korean show Show me your Refrigerator (or smth like that lol pardon my ignorance) she has trouble gaining weight even when she tries. So I don't think she's dieting or intentionally losing weight, but this kpop idol lifestyle of getting four hours of sleep on a good day and traveling all the time, having your face and body scrutinized 24/7, people always asking and noticing everything you eat...when you see a female idol dramatically lose weight like that, it's worrying on a lot of levels.

Usually a celebrity promising his/her fans to gain (or lose) weight would seem overly familiar, but I can't say I'm not glad the fans do the whole "unnie, have you eaten? you have to eat more!" thing with girl group members, especially when someone's weight loss seems to be getting dangerously close to just straight up malnourished.

Yeah I think that's the period from where the OP's pic was from! At which point IA IA I was also worried at that point at how much weight she's been losing despite her telling fans she'll try. But I think the holidays have been good to her post award season because she's seemed to have been continuously gaining weight ever since.

And IA as well about this part of fan culture that I like. Esp where fans would send them food with words of encouragement. Fan culture may sometimes be disgusting and invasive on some levels, but this is the one that I hope stays and gets encouraged. An idol's health >>>>>>>> body and appearance and should be of utmost concern to fans apart from their music.
