CLC to Launch Activities in Japan

CLC will start its global project.
The group will release its first mini album High Heels in Japan on April 13 and begin its official activities in the country. The album will contain PEPE, First Love, Curious and Pretty in Japanese versions. Moreover, Kylie Minogue’s I Should Be So Lucky will be covered to be inserted as a bonus track.
CLC chose Japan as its first overseas promotion country and it is currently planning its activities in the area. In particular, it is an exceptional case for a rookie to release a translated album in a country that never made an official debut, so local music managers are paying attention to the group’s next steps.
The group recently confirmed to show up in Beautiful Mission of Kawaii-an TV in Japan, which will firstly air on March 7. Kawaii-an TV is an idol group channel that the mass public prefers to watch, and CLC is the first Korean group to appear in it.
Meanwhile, CLC made its comeback on February 29 with its third mini album Refresh.
Seungyeon Takes Over As Leader Of CLC Ahead Of Group's Japanese Debut

Recently adding two new CLC members, the girl group is preparing to make their Japanese debut with Seungyeon taking over as the official leader.
Announcement of the leadership change was made through radio show Sukira.

Date: 2016-03-17 07:55 am (UTC)I thought adding Elkie, on top of having Sorn speaking mandarin and Yeeun learning it meant they'll have Chinese activities - and it would make sense financially to invest in this country (Cube must know about this with 4Minute) - but no... what a missed opportunity...
Seunghee didn't seem that comfortable with being a leader so I hope this change is something wanted by her and based on the group's dynamics. Following Nine Muses, I'm always a bit suspicious with this kind of decisions... It would be easy to blame the leader for the group's lack of success instead of wondering what really went wrong with the management :/
