Sucessful cosplayer BtoB's ¥OOK $UNGJA€ Might Join Park Bo Gum in Historical Drama

It has been reported that BTOB member, Yook Sungjae is considering appearing in “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.”

His agency, Cube Entertainment, revealed on March 14 that, “It is true that Yook Sungjae received a casting call for KBS2‘s new Monday-Tuesday drama, ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.’ Nothing has been confirmed as of this time, but it is one of the projects that are being considered.”

The BTOB member was offered the role of Kim Yun Seong, who is a dignified and well-learned character that maintains his poise and reserve despite the praise of the public. He would be in a love triangle with lady Hong Ra On and Lee Young (played by Park Bo Gum).

“Moonlight Drawn by Clouds,” with a web novel of the same name, is a palace romance about genius Crown Prince Hyomyeong, who loved court music, set in the late Joseon period. The drama is expected to air this coming August.

during last idol olympics sungjae showed in jumong drama cosplay and voiced his wish to appear in a historical drama lol.
i wonder if he will accept this offer since he kinda promised not to miss any more promo after village clashed with way back home comeback. he was absent from 90% btob activities then. btob is supposed to have a april/may comeback so idk, will be this drama prerecorded? i think he will leave wgm if he accepts, finally

Ugh @ love triangle except that it's between him & Bogum and the girl trying to sneak in which is 99% unlikely.
I hope he won't be missing schedules anymore if he indeed picks this drama but Cube is a mess so idk. (Poor CLC tho)

village was a good opportunity and he did well but the raitings :( it was sad because it's a quality drama
i think he will take this and cube will either rush the comeback or postpone it. they could debut a btob subunit in the meantime when sungjae is shooting but they are too dumb for that

Yeah I've heard good things about Village. I want to check it out, the cast is so solid - moon geunyoung, shin eunkyung. Plus I heard jang heejin really impressed with her portrayal and that excites me b/c I've been low-key rooting for her to get a break out all these years lmao. How big is sungjae's role in village??

cube is truly too dumb... the sub-unit possibilities, ugh. also ot but I love peniel's recent ig post where he put a bunch of arrows pointing at minhyuk in the poster to promote his drama hahahahhaha. they're so silly I love them.

i really liked village, it had no useless love lines and makjang shit. it was kinda heartbreaking too and it should get a second seasong tbh, not everything was resolved but raitings were low so i doubt sbs will risk it. sungjae has a lot of screen time and his character is pretty important.

btw that minhyuk drama is scary! kinda like village. i wish someone would sub it since it looks promising, i watched the first episode and minhyuk's acting there is probably the best ever

thought for sure it'd be an mbc sageuk but this seems like it might be the right plot (unless he wanted a real sageuk not a flower boy one). Unsure about kbs mon-tues though, their ratings have sucked forever now. And he'd be second lead with school 2015 writer so prepare for angst. I've seen quite a number of negative comments alr including for being an idol actor, and also the fan wars have started so idk :(

school 2015 was terrible script-wise. had no idea it's the same writer... now i want sungjae to reject the offer :/
it was pretty obvious how pd and writer tried to save school 2015 ratings and threw so many unnecessary taekwang-eunbi scenes to feed shippers (like him getting rejected three times?) and ride on sungjae sudden trend status... sungjae pretty much admitted that after the appeared on masked singer and became popular he started getting more scenes and his character got bigger?

I really hope he accept since Bogum and Sungjae in one drama -- its probably a dream for me. :P But I wish they change the writer since I only hear bad things about School 2015. Bogum have shown in the past how excellent he is as an actor so I dont want terrible script to ruin that image of him.

I really hope Kim Jiwon will accept the female lead offer. I really need someone like her. I've been reading someone requested Jin Seyeon and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I might cry if it becomes a reality lol
