She was on set/working while this happened. She still stayed and allowed fans to take pictures before leaving.

People were commenting on how Tiffany was rude to fans for ignoring them and that she looked unhappy as well...well, duh?

One guy was allegedly assaulted by Sones after the fancam of him touching Tiffany's hair was spread around. I say allegedly because apparently the tweet was deleted after it got some attention.

Said fancam and more below.

Here is his apology.

The guy was entitled as hell and he replied quite condescendingly when fans told him not to touch Tiffany again, but beating him for it is a gross and over the top reaction. I'm disgusted by fans in Paris, and they should be held accountable for their actions if it's true.

I know, I know. Jessica's not SNSD anymore, but they're both in Paris and some Sones still support her and this is more about horrible fandom behaviour.

That and making two posts about the same thing seemed redundant.

Anyway, this is way out of control. Even though it's not the first time the girls have been harrased at the airport or during their off time, it's the first time I've seen Sones react so viciously in retaliation.

Gross in both accounts. I can't understand how "fans" can feel so proud about accosting celebrities and brag about it.

I didn't realize the entry was so large, so I edited a bit. Apologies.

right? like she's late to something she's probably getting paid to do and has a team probably waiting for her at the fitting

fans are sf entitled from touching people without consent to retaliating by punching someone, and some people got mad at her because she signed stuff later but difference is people weren't pulling at her clothes and touching her, give a person space damn

fans can get so pushy and violent with one another. i think a few years back when infinite had a concert in NY (?), the fans in the audience kept shoving each other and trying to get closer to the stage and the members had to tell them to calm down.

if someone was yelling at me for not signing stuff for them, i wouldn't want to do it either. but that's just because i'm petty lol. i'd make a shitty celebrity.

I'm so mad and ashamed, both as a Sone (supporting Jessica just as much) and a French people. I guess we can't keep it together, I know by friends that when TVXQ went to Paris a long time ago, there were a lot of problems as well with French fans trying to follow them in the streets. Nothing new.
Some Sones are fucking insane. I'm sad that part of their travel in Paris will remind them of being pushed and yelled at. Behaving like that... they're human beings before being idols, they surely don't want to be pushed after such a long flight and before a professional meeting, or when they're doing a favour to the fans by meeting them and letting them take pictures. Wtf guys.

Also touching Tiffany's hair this way was condescending but wtf you don't follow someone to beat him up for that??? I hope he went to the police for that.

I feel ashamed when I read stuff like this, too, especially when they're the same nationality as me like in your case–– but why should we, really? I mean I keep dreading the day when my faves get harassed in my hometown of Rio in Brazil and I have to feel bad on behalf of all Brazilians. It's like I'm so used to generalizations that I'm already expecting them when I see someone "representing" me poorly. If I get treated badly like that I assume it's because the person or people involved have poor manners, not blame it on their nationality or taste in idols/music, that would just be lazy and narrow-minded...I've been trying to keep this in mind lately :)

Both of them look so uncomfortable and in danger and I don't understand how 'fans' can be so awful at to accost their idols like that and then some have the audacity to attack some guy who got just as close? I'm ashamed to be grouped together with them as fans of snsd and jessica.

i always thought i-fans were excessive because their mindset was "who knows when they'll see their faves again" but then i remembered sasaengs existed. fan culture everywhere is just insane, i guess.

airport fancams always make me cringe. it seems so dangerous for the artists with the hoards of fans just swarming them. i think it's ridiculous how people expect celebrities to be "on" all the time. i remember fan accounts of people meeting boa and some said she was rude and some said she was nice. i know people expect celebs to always be cheerful and friendly because "it's their job", but they have bad days too.

The guy sounds entitled and dickish but that doesn't justify to beat him up like that, holy shit o_o. Especially when many of those people are equally entitled when it comes to their faves.

I'm pretty sure one of the people making fake fanaccounts about Tiffany (especially to compare her to Jessica) was an edgy twitter anti anyway. I don't expect respect from the likes of that.

Man what the fuck.... idols have to deal with this shit abroad too omg

After experiencing something like this myself I know its partially out of the despair of knowing this might be your only chance to see them but another part is that I-fans can be massively entitled, selfish, and delusioned.

All this shows is that I'd be a terrible celebrity. Lol. Though as a black girl, I already deal with a fair share of people touching my hair. I don't condone him being beat up, but I also don't have any sympathy for him.

So apparently Victoria was provided with 5 bodyguards and Tiffany and Jessica had just managers. It isn't first time stuff like this happened and I still don't get why artist are not provided with proper protection, is it part of idol culture that "they are nothing without fans support" so they have to be approachable at any time safety and reason be damned?

Date: 2016-03-07 05:44 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kjc48.livejournal.com
Vic's guards are probably paid by her company~ (the one she owns in China), plus Chinese celeb = more money, so I can see the fashion brands complying to a longer rider lol

'i thought her hair was pretty so i decided to touch it'

how??? do you make that mental leap???

i'm disgusted by literally everyone in this post except tiffany and jessica, i hope they're feeling ok. that was brave as fuck of both of them to deal with those fans in such close quarters and they both somehow managed to look only mildly uncomfortable.
