They are so cute and I'm glad this video came out because I had no idea China-lines names were pronounced that way
As far as bias goes, I don't have one yet, but I do like Exy, Xuan Yi, and Yeoreum a lot!

I wonder why. Other than Uniq's Wenhan, all the other Chinese idols romanized names match up p well to how they're pronounced Edit: I think it's Korean pronunciations because I checked the Korean wiki page and the characters used for their full names looks more like the romanized versions

i think they take the chinese characters and just use them as hanja so like you end up with a korean pronunciation, like with exo's chinese names they take the hanja and convert them to chinese characters to be read

That's what it seems like, but I don't speak Korean or Chinese tho.

For Xuan Yi, they have her birth name written as 쉬엔이 (Shui-en-i), but her name ie how she introduces herself is written as 선의, which written is Seon Eui (이 & 의 have basically the same sound) . Birth name Cheng Xiao as 청샤오 (Chung-shya-oh) but name 성소 (Seong So) and last, Zhao Mei Qi is 자오메이치 (Ja-oh may-i-chi) but 미기 (Mi-ki) as name.

Also, there's an up10tion member named Xiao which they pronounce and write just like Cheng Xiao, so the difference in how they write and say the girls' names is deliberate and not just a quirk.

Sorry if you weren't /this/ curious about their names, I just am super interested in this kinda stuff!

i can tell each girl apart even tho i dont know all the names. why is so much easier to learn girl groups than boys lol i still dont know svt after a couple months and it took me like a year to learn super junior

this video was fun and i really liked the way they introduced all girls but jfc when they paired up bona and meiqi i couldn't even tell the difference (except for eyeliner) even tho usually i don't have this kind of problem with them. i feel like my mind is playing tricks with me
