Ladies’ Code Reflect on Their Long-Awaited Comeback

In a recent interview, Ladies’ Code shared their thoughts on making a comeback as a three-member group after a two-year hiatus.

“We really missed the stage [...] It feels like we’re debuting all over again,” the girls said.

“We often look at comments, and there are a lot of people rooting for us. We not only get compliments on our new musical style but also encouragements telling us to stay strong,” they said, expressing their gratitude to their supporters and fans.

Member Zuny revealed that it has taken some time getting used to performing on music shows again. “It might be because it’s been so long since I’ve been in front of a camera, but during our first broadcast, I couldn’t find the camera,” she said. “I knew my eyes looked shaky, so I just looked straight in front of me throughout the performance.”

Zuny also dished on their eye-catching choreography, which consists of the male dancers lifting the members up on their shoulders. “It’s not hard for us. However, I think it’s very taxing on the dancers, so before we get on stage, we make sure to eat a lot,” she joked.

The girls concluded the interview with another thank you. “We returned after three years. There are so many fans who have patiently waited for us, and people in general have so generously encouraged us,” they said. “We will use all this positive energy to work even harder. We will return the kindness with a stage that doesn’t disappoint and even better music and performances.”

there are fans in the audience but it's not like a concert, these shows are specifically made to be watched on television and the fans are mostly just there for atmosphere i guess.

b-but most of the people are watching the broadcast, they're not in the studio. they have to make contact with the fans via the camera.
watch any music show performance focusing on the performers' eyes.

Naw, it's more important to focus on the cameras for the viewers at home. Like if you watch an old sitcom w/ the live audience, or SNL, they still look at the cameras.

IIRC (it's been a few years since I was heavily in the Kpop scene, and I believe I heard this from a friend who was lucky enough to go to a taping of M.Bank) there are two performances for each music show. One pre-recorded for the viewers at home where fans are allowed to come in and view it but it's intended for the airing, and one that they do later for the fans who are actually there. So looking into the camera for the pre recorded performance actually matters, haha. I'm also not sure if it's all performances or only some of them.

I know Galaxy isn't exactly smashing chart records but I hope they know that so many people genuinely support their comeback and it's such a pleasure to have them back. Also, I'm glad to see Sojung in King of Mask Singer and hopefully we'll see the trio do other decent variety shows.

im still sad that its not doing as well on the charts as it should (because the quality of the comeback is A++++) but they should be so proud of themselves and i (as a fan) im so proud as well

I was thinking that quite a lot of things have changed while they've been away. There are new variety shows now (King of Masked Singer being an example), there's been a huge rise in streaming/blogging marketing methods (v app, other broadcasts, the focus on fancams). While at the core everything is the same, promoting on music shows, doing showcases, fanmeets etc, a lot of new stuff has sprung up while they're away. They might feel a bit of a rush to catch up.

Speaking of, I couldn't help but are the partner dance as a reference to RiSe's in 'Bad Girl', even some of the moves reminded me of her solo.

I really hope they can win even once but if not then I can be glad they are feeling the positivity.

Ughh I love them so much. I got into them at So Wonderful, they're all so sweet and charming. I'm glad they have a great support system, Polaris gets major points and I hope other companies take note of how to treat their employees. Support and kindness foster strength!!!

the chances of them winning on a music show seems bleak given the competition lol, but it would be a dream to see them win anyway. regardless, this comeback has been really, really solid and i'm glad that it doesn't seem like they're being overwhelmed with activities. <3

The fact that they're cracking jokes makes me tear up a little, the strength these girls have is mind-blowing.

I know the competition is intense, but I want so badly for them to get a music show win with this comeback. The entire single album is magnificent.
