Later when all of this got out, she shared another round of messages exchanged between them:

I don't think y'all realize this is more than a dating scandal - he is pursuing a relationship w/ someone who posts intimate location details about the group members online, leaves location on when making instagram posts in their presence, etc. Her behavior was literally a danger to the group members. This is not like any other dating scandal - dating a fan, particularly one who has shown sasaeng behavior, is beyond the pale in terms of contract violation and image damage.

Whether or not she's a full sasaeng is unknown last I followed the situation but what is known is that she posted information about the member's locations online and also made instagram posts w/ location turned on, that matched Junhyeok's instagram, thus also divulging his whereabouts to whatever fans wish to follow/stalk/harass him too. All for the sake of attention LOL. She is not stable and I am not surprised that JYP took drastic measures.

I feel like the most likely thing is that he either was given an ultimatum or, and I hate to put this into the world but I'll just say it, possibly gotten this alleged girlfriend pregnant. From an outsider perspective (as in im not a fan but ik about the general story of his supposed dating drama) it seems like he decided this life wasn't for him/that he couldn't or doesn't want to put up with fan bull so he left. Which tbh is something I'm surprised doesn't happen more often. Idols know what they are getting into to an extent but I doubt you can really understand it until you experience just how invasive people can be and just how closely you are scrutinised. Giving up on something like this can't be easy whatever the reason if you've trained and worked for it for years, so I hope he doesn't regret it later on. And that the group carries on strong w/o him.

I think the reason that it doesn't happen as much is that a lot of times there's a lot of money involved. A lot of companies, it seems, ties contracts to the amount of investment they put into artists' training. From what I know, JYPE did away with that system a while ago so artists don't really 'owe' the company for their training. So I guess with them you won't see issues where they drag it out. That said, I have no clue how things work behind the scenes, so most of it is an assumption from what I know...

this whole thing is confusing, but I don't believe jype would let an artist (nearly debuted) let go of its contract just because he wasn't happy with the celebrity life, unfortunately. it would be amazing if companies usually acted like that, but I don't think that's the standard tbh.

I think jype maybe gave him an ultimatum of breaking up with the gf or leaving and he decided to leave because the career where your personal life is that ""influent"" wasn't worth it?! idk...

junhyeok seemed upset and defeated from all the backlash and the silent treatment he was getting at performances so he probably did choose to leave on his own free will. jype let joo halt her promos after she got stage fright, let hyuna leave the wonder girls after their debut and let sunmi *go on hiatus when she was homesick so i'd be SHOCKED if they gave him any kind of ultimatum (and shocked if he threw his career away from someone who couldn't even keep their relationship on the dl)
