Mamamoo dons preppy look



Girl group Mamamoo tried their hand at preppy fashion in a photo shoot for their upcoming album “Melting.”

In the photos released by their agency Rainbowbridge Entertainment, Mamamoo donned plaid skirts and knee high socks. The preppy look was finished off with berets, reminding fans of university students from the 1960s.

Unlike similar looks pulled off by other K-pop stars, Mamamoo wore uniforms of American students rather than Korean or Japanese school uniforms.

Surprisingly, this is the first time Mamamoo has tried out such a style, even though it has repeatedly been sported by many Korean girl groups.

The group is to release Friday their newly released album “Melting,” with fan expectations high for the group’s first work since June’s “Pink Funky” EP.
