does anyone know if the eliminations for this are going to work team vs team or same as the last challenge, audience votes combined with public votes? at least if it's team vs team my bb chungha is in somi's team so she won't get eliminated (and will probably get the 100000 points). but honestly that team has a lot of girls that i like as performers so i'm really looking forward to that group's performance, even if i think in promos they're being given the ~inner group drama~ storyline

100000 points is ridiculous tbh, basically means you lose & you're out, unless they're planning to have some teams with really popular members fail

i'm looking forward to all the performances, to be honest. laughing at them putting risa in a team with juna. averaging out the group talent! sohye should be in a vocal team because she can at least hold notes but i suppose risa's probably marginally less bad at singing than dancing.

The test about breaking the camera is exactly the kind of "joke" I would expect from a Mnet show. And their editing it's getting even more obvious about who they want to give a good image and who not.

The Pledis girls are all so unbelievably solid that the final 11 could easily have all of them in there. It almost seems a waste to not debut them as a group when the show is finished and while their momentum is so big, only 1 or 2 of them will be in the final lineup and after the year has passed, people might not care so much.

Also we have the exact same favourite girls so congrats on your taste!

Apparently Mina wanted to sing ZionT's song but then that would mean all jelpi girls are in one team so she went to beyonce say my name, because she wanted to do well on her own. Saw previews of Im Nayeon from the performance shown and she looked great

I hope Haein's rank gets higher. I can't help but wish she waited a bit longer to stay in Jelpi, because she would have gotten the Jelpi-line benefit popularity as well. She is one of the more known trainees, but her votes don't seem to reflect it so i guess people know her, but aren't voting for her :(

Kang mina's bad image stems from her being "fat" (and not being a strong singer like the rest of jelpi line - and therefore "untalented" but her skill is dancing so meh) and not an attitude issue. It's mostly just her being fat. There were pann posts and angry rants on dc gallery about her arms being huge right after her Apink performance aired. And that a girlgroup should maintain their physical appearance because it's part of the job. I see tons of people being supportive, way more than the hate, but i guess the hate comments always stand out.

Mnet even showed screencaps of the comments in ep 5 :(

I just hope that like Fantagio, Jelpi teaches healthy diet ways to their trainees. (Like fantagio, jelpi also require book reports and reflections/diary from VIXX... So hopefully they have the diet lessons too)

ugh, that's so disheartening. it reminds me of how jihyo was treated on sixteen (i was FUMING every time someone told her she needed to "practice better self-care" — and even her own mother said so, wtf?) and i just find it so absurd. mina is clearly in great shape regardless of her size, ESPECIALLY if her skill is dancing.

she's seventeen. like y'all have said, if she hasn't been provided the proper training for these sorts of things, it could be really damaging. :( i hope nayoung and sejeong are able to take care of her.

I think it's ridiculously unfair to hold her to the same skill standards as Nayoung/Sejeong - they're what 4-5 years older than her and have an extra year of training? And their talent is singing. Besides she's not even that bad.

I love that about her face! She's not exactly drop dead gorgeous visual type but Her face is so memorable (at least to me) i saw a photo and could spot her immediately in the pick me up video. Took me awhile to remember sejeong and remembering nayoung took effort.

It's nayoung's weak point. She's talented and pretty, but forgettable. Lucky for her she's in jelpi, so those voting for sejeong and mina, will vote for her.

YES. I'm kind of sad for Nayoung (even though I shouldn't be... she's 9th). She's the prettiest by classic standards - has a 'cold/chic' beauty about her - but she's more reserved on screen in comparison to Sejeong and Mina. this is the weirdest fckng thing about kpop culture to me. like there is 0% appreciation for uniqueness, anyone who falls SLIGHTLY outside of the skinny body type and preferred set of facial features gets a ton of hate.

lately (after top11 was revealed) there's a lot of talk about mnet favoring jelpi (which is BS, mnet hates jelpi and vise versa. Which was always weird considering they're all under CJ but they haven't been in good terms for more than a year now) Before the show aired, the girls weren't in previews, they weren't even in spoiler articles. No one knew about them. But things changed after the PR videos were released and bec of that the girls have always ranked relatively well even before the show aired (mostly thanks to sejeong's meteoric popularity rise as soon as her PR video was released. She went from never being heard of, to someone people wanted to know more after a 1 minute video clip). They were always highup in the Mydol voting for gifts.

their performance in the first episode just sealed the deal for a lot of potential fans. Which is how they were so highup in the episode 1 voting poll.

And now.. Mnet, bec they are shitty, knows the fanfaves, and continue move their narrative around that. In turn, leads to many people discounting Jelpi Girl's talents and reason for popularity thus far.

Honestly the show is rigged. Even the positive editing of jellyfish trainees, about making them really likable and their airtime. Honestly with 101 contestants there was no way they could show everyone anyway, they would have been better off picking fewer contestants.

Ugh I am in so deep in this show, I just spent about 25 minutes trying to figure out who to vote for.

Honestly though I like so many of them at this point, I'll probably be happy with 80% of the final lineup anyway. The only people I'm super emotionally invested in are Sejeong and Mina, who I don't even bother voting for because I know they'll be 100% fine and Chungha because she is bae as fuck (I don't think she'll make it. And I can already sense I'm going to be bitter forever.). Actually add Soyeon to that, any hate she's getting is disgusting to me because it's so blatantly about her looks, her talent is goddamn unquestionable and consistent, even JGS went up to her like 'I heard you were the best CUBE trainee' and netz are all 'why is she there?!' WHY WOULDN'T SHE BE YO.

Netz are so weird to me with the Cathy hate, she is the only MBK girl that I would be happy with in the final lineup. Although I also don't get why they're dragging Dani but not mentioning Chaeyeon, they're pretty evenly mediocre. I would have added Somi to that, but I thought she did really well in ITNW so she's growing on me.

I think the current Top 11 is almost exactly what the final lineup will be tbh, give or take Yeunjung and/or Doyeon.

I already love all the Jelpi girls - even if Mnet gave them angel editing... you can't make that stuff up. I'm really looking forward to the future Jelpi gg. LOL And to Kim Nayoung being a dark horse variety star because her hidden box teaser was hilarious.

DAMN Yoojung in Bang Bang. I wasn't expecting that. I mean, she's still more ridiculously cute than anything else but still. Also Sohye looking not terrible during her dance bit to a pretty difficult song.

ALSO this is why Mnet shouldn't be in charge of a predebut show - the goal is to make a final cohesive group but they're known for blowing up controversy and highlighting fights. Is that really how you want to start a gg?

Lastly, I've got my faves but... I don't necessarily want them in the same group. It's like taking a Hyorin and sticking her with Yoona, Seolhyun, Eunji, Hyosung, and Ga in. If anything, I want many groups doing different things and I worry that ranking these girls will serve as some quantitative measure of who's better than who.
