but my absolute favorite is her and yoona going out of their way to ride the roller coaster together like eleventy bajillion times and THEN eventually moving up to the front car. and ALSO her talking about the japanese genie video. "this was hard, we had to stay floating in the air for a long time." and then when she went on strong heart and told park seungil's story like whatever i love sooyoung bye!

before i started watching snsd variety things i had no idea she was so funny. it bums me out that there was a time when sm basically told her and yuri to calm down lol because sooyoung's sense of humor is so similar to mine. she became one of my favorites really quickly.

Where to start? She's so fucking funny, she's got this bigger than life personality that you can't help but be drawn to. I think of her as the de facto leader (don't mean this as a slight to Taeyeon, who is my bias, but she's the leader because she's the oldest, not because she's got the right personality for it imo), whenever I see them on variety or radio shows, Sooyoung always seems like the most assertive. She has no shame, she'll break out her psycho aegyo and her chicken impression on variety shows and crack everyone up, doesn't even bother with the whole shy, quiet image girl group members are encouraged to project.

I can only imagine what she's like when she's drunk based on this video where she has to be dragged off and forced to sit down because she's being too embarrassing lol. This might be the first moment I knew I loved her?


There's also Sooyoung invoking the Choi name to appeal to Minho's sense of kinship and spare her life in Running Man...Sooyoung tweeting @Hyo after her lipstick misshap "Lipstick check, front teeth check, check check check"

The moment I knew I loved her - my sister and I were watching Kissing You (circa 2008, the time when it was cool to hate on GG but we did't jump the bandwagon #girlgrouptrash), we didn't have a definite bias then but then she said "that girl looks like you" pointing to Syoo lmao There was an instant connection and god have you seen her in variety shows? SHE'S GOLD. She works so hard. TT TT My baby who deserves everything good and nice and perfect in this world.

To my number one - Happy Birthday Sooyoung! Thanks to your mom and dad but most especially to you for gracing us with your presence. I'm so glad I never had to live a day without you (literally because she's older than I am lol) <3 <3
