- Ep.33: A big family of 13 that lives in Pyeongtaek. This family always draws attention when they’re out. The 5 performers from Ukraine and Belarus! Will their first underwater performance be successful?

okay the parents are seriously pissing me off. 'there wasn't any korean language education that was worth it', the mom says as she attempts to homeschool all 12 of the kids. that 6 year old little baby at the learning centre is a better teacher. and like...so no only did they not allow the kids to learn a damn word of korean, they didn't even go to an american internation school so they could make friends and not be so damn insular? the duggar vibes are going off the charts.

OP, I'm with you. I do not understand these parents! Their kids live complete isolated lives! How can this be good for them? Idk how being home schooled works and I'm not going to judge, this seems too much? If I lived in a different country I would want my kids to be in a school where they could learn the culture and language of the new country, so if anything happened to me, they could be resorsefull and do things for themselves.
I just can't with these people...I just can't

Not to mention how much quicker you pick up things like languages when youre young. It's a golden oppurtunity for those kids. Why not send them to an international school where they would most likely have Korean lessons too? My friend learnt German through an international school when she lived in Germany

I went to an international school in South America and learned fluent Spanish that way too. It's a perfectly valid way to do things.

I'm not even gonna watch the big family this week, I got too angry last week at the parents. I just feel sorry for the kids.

The parents of the big family are so ridiculous. How is it possible that they have lived in SK for 7 (?) years and still have such limited Korean? I bet they are the same type of people who would say "if you come to our country (USA) you need to learn the language and assimilate!!!".
