Date: 2016-02-04 04:57 pm (UTC)I think it's clear that their change in image and target audience hasn't been well received by Korea. This is their fourth single in a row that looks like it's going to stay under a million in digital sales and that's pretty painful considering they were on a ROLL until whatcha doing today.
It's cool to see girl groups try to look out more for their female fans, or just ignore the male fandom but it's pretty clear that 4 minute's taken a huge hit from doing this. Ah well, it's been a good run, they had a ton of nice hits, and Crazy will always be the jam as far as I'm concerned.

i really enjoy the first 1:30 of hate, but the chorus completely ruined the song for me... at least someone did a decent remix of it and edited the awful chorus out

Date: 2016-02-04 06:22 pm (UTC)I think the reason people like red light is the transition is less harsh, and the one for HATE has a pretty good build, but the vocal detract from it a bit, so it makes the chorus feel incredibly sudden and out of place.
