✨ shinee breaks their own record ✨
2016-02-03 05:13 pm

after kicking it off this last weekend, it's been revealed (and confirmed) that shinee's current (fourth) japanese tour, shinee world 2016, is their largest japanese nationwide tour ever. the first sixteen stops of the tour, which will be held at various arenas throughout the country, was confirmed to have sold out this last week with the start of the tour. after this, it's been tentatively revealed that all four dome concerts have also sold out, with the exception of block / limited seating and global packages. though the exact number of attendees will not be confirmed until the tour has finished, the tentative number is 350,000 which sees the group breaking their own prior record. (310,000 with their last tour, shinee world 2014.) the article linked (though not translation by the person who tweeted it) also mentions how the total number of attendees for this tour will bring the total number of attendees of all of their tours in japan to roughly 1.2 million. it then elaborates on how this consolidates their leading position within the hallyu wave in japan, and how their popularity can be "enjoyed" with the likes of other leading korean groups in japan such as big bang and tvxq. congrats!

Date: 2016-02-04 01:32 pm (UTC)I know there's also this shop in Harajuku where they re-sell tickets (I bought one for an Infinite concert in 2012) but most of the tickets sold there are too far away from the stage and it's not that worthy imo.

Date: 2016-02-04 02:35 pm (UTC)For now, since no one has received their tickets yet, you can't know where you're going to sit... It's pure luck lol but around 2 weeks (if the tickets are printed on paper) or 3 days (if the tickets are QR codes, like all the shinee ones for the past 3 years at least) before the live you can buy them while knowing your seats too!

Date: 2016-02-04 10:38 am (UTC)I hope there are re-selling or something because I really want to see them in Japan.
I'm seriously so proud of them. People can say whatever they want but their popularity both in Korea and Japan is no joke.
