I don't know if I want to listen this. I only heard the title track composed by Wooyoung (is Yo Moriagatte Yo?) and I liked it more than the other japanese singles but that's not hard lol
its bad but like bad as in their first mini albums bad you know? LIKE U COULD LEARN TO LOVE IT. it just feels like a step backwards from their mad album but the ballads are ok i guess.
I'm listening now "So Lucky" (I think it was in their first japanese album and well in this album too) and I know the song is composed by Jun K, but I hear his voice too and nowhere says he sings in it too. I think I'm going crazy xD But I liked that one a bit... Angel sounds good, nothing mind blowing, but my low expectations are making me appreciate this one a lot.
I think you should stop hahaha Half the album is their old japanese singles + japanese version of their korean title songs, and the other half are songs to forget. The only two songs I "remember" are the one OP posted in the comments and this one
oh, i know 'so lucky' 'angel' wasn't that bad compared to those dreadful 7+ minutes, loooool, but the instrumental reminds me of some other song that i cannot remember, so it just sounds like a worse version of something else jfc, when will they have a decent japanese release, it's so embarrassing just translate 'if you do', or something...
I have no idea. It was just to make the joke lol But number two doesn't sound bad.
Okay I went here (http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/ja/d/2016-02-02/) and I don't understand anything so I can't make any deduction and the number of selling copies is only in the first three. I'm a failure.
11k is not great, but generally speaking most idol groups in Japan perform well with their singles and less so with their albums so GOT7 might be that kind of group (looking at how LAUGHx3 sold 35k first week).
CD sales in Japan have been at an all-time low since 2014 so most artists are now able to chart in the top 10 or top 5 with releases that sell less than 20k, lmao. Oricon doesn't count digital sales (fun fact: Oricon CEO apparently views these as "impurities" ???) and since it's the only relevant chart in Japan, there's not much else to cross-compare with.
Yes, Big Bang does very well in Japan, lol. The fact that they can do really big dome tours with tons of dates speaks to their popularity there, not many artists can do tours like that.
I thought about going to one of their concerts in Japan, in between iKON shows, next week...but then I remembered how horrible their Japanese songs are...
Like...Around the World is a song I've tried to block out
Shoot me but Yo Moriagatte Yo isn't that bad. I prefer this compared to their other jpn singles. Angel is a jam and the choreography is the dead of me.
I have this perception that got7 (and most kpop acts) in Japan has different music direction (?) than them in Korea. Hence always kinda can forgive the shitty-ness of their Japan releases lol.
I guess either way you can say that jpn releases almost always opposite kor releases. If one is good then the other is bound to be bad? Big Bang is a rare example where both are doing great for me.
I love these boys to pieces, but op's statement is making me rethink whether I want to click play... I think I've only heard Laugh laugh laugh so far and I hated it lol
Boys pls just sing Japanese versions of your Korean songs ):
Same here, omg. I adore them but they already have such a thin Korean discography, it would have been great if they were given decent Japanese songs at least to make up for it. :(
