Gayoon recently had an interview and photoshoot with ARENA Magazine for their February issue. Highlighted exercepts below:
- is currently filming her first movie role in Dad's Daughter (with Dohee, G.O., and Park Myungsoo)
- has been scared of singing alone since messing up her stage with Mario in 2012
- gained the greed and confidence to sing again after her well-received cover of Eyes, Nose, Lips on Duet Music Festival 8+
- thinks that people forget about her singing because 4minute is a performance-oriented group
- listens to 50 Shades of Grey OST a lot, likes Crazy in Love (Remix) and Earned It
- can't find any songs that suit her for her solo career, since she has already established an image from her group activities
- was very passive in her career until 2013, when she realized her company won't do anything for her unless she pushes
- is told by men around her that she's past her prime now that she's 26
- feels like she hasn't achieved much in her career and hopes to make people more curious about her in 2016

Date: 2016-01-21 02:28 am (UTC)I like her voice but she's an average singer. I liked her earlier look(haven't been a fan lately) but she was never gonna be the type of pretty that gets you places in her industry. She's not particularly funny or interesting either.
Like, I get why people would be upset that members like her are seemingly overlooked but I also feel like it makes perfect sense why some companies won't invest into some members.
