This was before they cut it and made it more of a neutral ash blond. I think Taemin's hair was a smidge too long for the sidesweep here and that's why the chop. It looked nice at the SMAs, and in the pictures from the bts video for this shoot it looks better than the stills. They should have gone with a beach motif rather than American football - none of these guys looks like someone who would play, not even as kicker!
